Help!!

iv wired my soilnoid up to pop my boot 2nite, as im removing the rear wiper and lock,

i decided to use the rear wiper electrics to wire the pop up 2, sice doing the job, im now left with a flashing orange light on my dash, that looks like an electric signal or something, what could this be its pissing me off

the pop only had 2 wires and the wiper had 3 leaving 1 non connected wire could it be anything to do with that, t only works when i ask for water on the rear screen where as i intented it to work when i push the stalk for the rear wiper to move

im sh*t at stuff like this

its a mk1 clio16v

I think I know where you have gone wrong here.

Firstly, did you set the multiplex network computer to NO REAR WIPER?

Secondly, did you also alter the parameter for additional pop up boot interface connected to rear wiper (false) if not then you should have set it to (true)

Thirdly, did you upgrade the software in the wiper management computer. This can be done easily by pressing the brake pedal with ignition on and pressing the horn and using the washer function five times simultaniously.











If this doesnt work and I wont be supprised if it doesnt, then I think you shouldnt touch things that you have no idea about!



However, your idea is sound, youve just done it wrong - maybe.



There are 3 wires going to the rear wiper.

1. Black or brown = earth

2. Red/Yellow or white = 12v constant (park signal)

3. The last wire (cant remember the colour) - signal from intermittant relay to activate the wiper motor for a single sweep.



use the black or brown wire for the earth of the pop up solenoid

use the coloured wire that I cant remember for the activation of the pop up relay.

use the rear wiper switch to open the tailgate
