old thread bump.... just to confirm is it 62 for the three bolts on the engine side too? that's what i'm getting from the linked manual but it's not clear, and i don't want to strip the threads. this pasted from the link:
Sub-frame front mounting bolt 6.2
Sub-frame rear mounting bolt 10.5...
i'll let you try it first, let us know how you get on :)
i'm contemplating doing this on mine, it has professional tints on rear side windows and rear window from when i bought it. i can't decided with or without as i don't really notice them that much, but when i do it's like, hmmm, i bet it...
got some brick & patio cleaner from b+q, seems to have done the trick. these three gaps took half an hour of reasonable effort with a washing up brush and a plastic door stop as a scraper
also on that site i just posted

edit: this is phase 2, for phase 1 the pics dont show washers
clio_rt, i wouldn't know the different to be honest. only changed it on the weekend. i never really notice any difference with an oil change, just peace of mind that its done.
nah, big bush at the bottom. the reason behind it is that if the big bush goes on top, there's a longer gap between the metal of the dogbone and the metal of the gearbox, thus more room for flexing.
even though my bush is new, i only get slightly more of a rumble on idle, and don't notice it...
hi mate, i fitted one of these at the weekend to my ph2.
in the pack you get:
2 big bushes
2 small bushes
2 metal collars
2 washers
some lube
start with the subframe end of the dogbone. once you have the dogbone in your hand and the bush removed, you have to pull that weird collar thing out as...
you lost me :) what two big bolts on the right? replacing?
i'm just wondering if that nut that i've arrowed, the one hidden away and you can only see the end of the bolt, does it need to come off to replace the engine mount, and if so, do i need to jack the engine up to get to it?
please excuse the arrow, it was done on my phone so i'm restricted to clip art! to help you get your bearings, the two large bolts in the picture are the top bolts on the engine mount.
hi,
ENGINE MOUNT: do i need to remove the engine side of the mount (the big chunk of metal), or just jack the engine up high enough to slide the mount out?
as you look at the mount from the side of the car there's a bolt down to the left, looks like 13mm from memory, it's right up against the...
thanks for clarifying. it was already pulled forward, but i wedged a couple of peg halves in the back of the mount to push it forward another few mm. at least if it stops the banging i know what i need to replace. cheers.
