So you said it couldn't be done... 182 Bought!

I was being sort of serious. Had a problem at christmas. The crank pulley fell in half at the damper. Such a pity as it was a good engine (just run in at 120k). It had been serviced and not neglected like i teased you guys. It was due a belt change which i had booked ( oh the irony ). The crank...

So you said it couldn't be done... 182 Bought!

Ok so if so many dephasers are failing there must be a pattern. Is it a lack of oil changes ? Manufacturing or design fault ? I am quite guilty of not sticking to service intervals. Take the approach of fix it when it breaks ;) As stated never had the dephaser changed and never used a...

So you said it couldn't be done... 182 Bought!

Looks ok to me. Why would the dephaser need changing at less than 30k ? May be im just lucky but my 172 has seen 120K and no sign of the dephaser going. Is there some envy going on here. What is your 182 worth now you can get one <30k for this money ??? belts done or not..

*HELP* What is easiest way remove a 1*2 engine ?

i have had the motor out twice now. once for a clutch \ belt change and once to fit a new motor. not a difficult job. just take your time and remember there are no short cuts. you have pretty much covered it all. if a belt change is also needed then get it done at the same time. can be a bit...
