Try your local breakers, even online breakers maybe. I'm guessing if Renault still do them they would cost quite a bit. Maybe try putting up a wanted ad or even offer your BMC for swap for a stanard airbox + cash.
Why? I know thats what 99% of people on here say is best but does anyone have any proof? Induction is something i'll be looking at over the winter so am interested in some proof. Currently running a standard filter with a standard box thats been drilled on the cold side. Very loud indeed and the...
Sportines about a month after fitting, rear of the car is stripped also. The ride is ever so slightly stiffer than normal springs while under normal everyday conditions (by no means harsh at all) but they stiffen up perfectly when thrown in to corners.
Yawn. Apparently it does matter yes, hence the thread?? No offemce but the thread title syas alot about what this thread will be a bout so why reply if its not somthing your interested in.
Carbon Dynamic is a BMC product....

Had one on my Cupra, left a 2" gap between the end of the cold air feed pipe and the actual filter and my god was it loud! Connecting the pipe up properly made it a little quieter but i found most of the noise comes...
For show? I think its a bit of a grey area tbh. Spoke to Cobra direct on the phone last year enquiring about a set of Daytonas i think it was. When asked what the car would be used for and if i was planning harnesses i was told that as they were recliners they were unsuitable for harnesse as...
I dont think recliners are supposed to be used with harnesses. I hear that only rigid backed seats are allowed as they wont buckle under the strains that harnesses cause during a crash.
Another vote for Eibach Sportlines. Mine feel very comfortable. Progressivly wound springs means they absorb the small general bumps but stiffen up when you throw it into a corner.
Took out the front seats, all the carpet and the center console and found the foam under the carpet absolutely soaked through! Not good. Rear foot well is ok, i'm guessing the water is coming in from up behind the glove box where theres a very poor fitting grommit. Not somthing i can really test...
I wouldnt call that a major problem to be fair. Call Miltek to start with and see what they say (if your running a standard 182 exhaust). If your running an aftermarket exhaust then it would help if you took some pics and/or measured the diameter of the standard exhaust and the de-CAT pipe...
The carpet under my passenger seat is damp :( Its directly under the seat so i think that rules out any un sealed holes in the bulkhead? The underside of the door seems dry so that should rule out water leaking in the window seals and running out of the door? And the seals around the door sill...
I think a mk4 Ibiza running CC phase 1 would be level pegging with a 197 from a rolling start but i think from standing the 197 would have it due to the Cupra having to shift earlier to stay in the peak power band. (mk3 Cupras rarely see 200bhp on a phase 1 map)
Did think about a LCR, drove a REVO'd one (260ish bph) and wasnt that impressed to be honest, but then i prefer hatchbacks. Been to Awsome a few times, good lads.
Depends what you want but yeah programming takes alot of time so for one offs or small batches it just isnt worth it to be honest. If it was a design that other people would be interested too then it may be do able. As its early days though i'd like to stick to simple designs to get things...
Cheers Fred, i'll write a program next week for straight grooves so after that i'll be offering a choice and get an official thread in 'For Sale' or something :)
True, i prefer the eliptical grooves as you dont get any vibration through the brake pedal and they seem to wear the pads less than with straight grooves. (plus i had ATE power disks on my Cupra and liked them so based my design on them) But if thats what people want i'm sure i can do it at some...
Thanks for the good words Henry, i based my design on ATE power disks actually :)
Fred, any reason why you prefer the straight grooves? As if popular i could well knock up a program tp do that too. (nice simple program that one) :)
Are all Clio RS disks 280mm?
Spit with the missus and bought her out of our house and now have to pay the lot on my own, with the mods done and the way it was heading (big turbo) it was costing too much to run :( The Clio Cup is quick ish out of the box and dosnt cost the earth to fuel. Up side is she may be moving back in...
