C02 spray can.. can get em most computer shops or probs ebay .
or some one with a compressor and air blower.... then maby a tooth brush for the scrubbing
insurance is far from cheaper on a conversion.. trust me iv tried.
thing is you can get a 1.4 engine for yours for 200quid if that. drop that in if thats whats causing it not to start.
as for the conversion.. 500 for labour then 1k for a donor.. then the huge insurance jump.. more fuel...
in all honesty mate unless there is some sentimental value or a special feature about your chassis ie weld in cage... it would be alot better to buy a sport.. will cost the same, be alot easier, save many problems and save alot on insurance. i only 172'd mine because its a van and would be a one...
i have the same problem.. have a few motor bikes that need to be rebuilt fairly often.. which need heat cycling several times( leaving to get upto temp ticking over then shut down , cool of then repeat) then piss and moan about it every time. which i must admit is only every few months and...
tbh most people think its a sport anyways.. or a few even thought it was a v6.. i wish haha
yeah they arent to important atm tbh so will switch between the 2 till i find something better
cheers mate
again a small update changed the wheels for the 15'' dynamique's but im not to convinced
before, just after i fitted coilovers bought recently
and after
if i keep the dynamique wheels they will be going white along with all badges. dash strips bullets etc. I just cant make my mind up...
so the 830's cams fitted would be give a slight increase in performance... fitted along with pistons as i take its them thats diff and not the stroke length ?
wet sanding would more than likely cut through the basecoat to , revealing whatever may be underneath the paint.. ie primer, shiny panel etc... then if that doesnt cut through then machine polishing it back up almost certainly will
2k basecoat, from any reputable paint shop.. upol is always a good one to go with.. avoid plastikote etc.. also use 2k lacquer and 2k high fill primer ( also best of sticking with upol for )
depends how well its been looked after .. and any previous rebuilds etc. it may be fine for another 20k or it may drop to bits in the first 3k ... gotta also think why is the person selling it at this point rather than running it into the ground etc
a couple of pics.. i will take some of it all fitted but its finding time atm always rusheing n car looks a state even tho it is a project but still dont like posting pics up haha
the gaz coilies i got, these are on for now just till i get some more pennies saved up etc
eibach camber...
i had a orange made up very similar to the st orange. its a single stage pearl but does need a white undercoat. its a little easier than the st orange to use aswell and looks awesome in the sun.
this is teh same colour on drews wheels. looks good in the pics but soo much better in person
