is it the scratches to the right of the number plate bit you wanted to fill ? if so they far from need filler just a quick sand with 180 then a bit of high fill primer would sort that right out
its been years and years since i have looked.. each one varies a little but if you watch a fair few you will start to get your own idea of whats right and wrong.
there is a difference between using filler and using it properly. filling say a dent on a wing you may do it and it look good to you, but then when you put a coat of primer over it you will soon see how far out it can be. its not something you can pick up easily.
i cant comment on how i would...
unless you can do it properly DONT ! touch it... not even sand it unless your using like p400 .
im a painter and nothing pisses me of more than when people have a go themselves to save time and money for me/them . often there work needs totally undo'ing which takes time and costs more.. then...
this is how a few people i know run in there big bhp c20 lets.. first they run a few heat cycles ( get engine upto temp then shut down several times) then they uses the cheapest oil they can use ( cheaper oil, lesser protection means it will wear things in marginally quicker) forgotten the run...
you will need to flat it with 2000 then machine polish ( ideally) back to a shine.. dont right it may hide the majority of the new paint. but will never look 100%
it will be painted using a non laquered paint... ( can never remember the names) so basically your just cutting the paint down rather than the clear lacquer which you wouldnt normally see on teh pad... this isnt a problem aslong as you dont take it to far
the dci box is no stronger, it just has better ratio's for higher powered cars.. all the box's are made from fudge regardless of there origin.
i think instead of spending money on a lsd etc you will be better of forking out for a good vag box then sort the lsd at a later date.
get a intercooler from a ford focus tdci.. then make your own pipe work up from the ebay kits available.. much better way of doing it. piping in what way hoses are all the same but the 65 doesnt have an intercooler.. therefore neither does it have the associated pipe work
which power dci do you have ? intercooler, injectors bigger turbo and a good map is a good step to makin it a decent car.
fitting the 172 kit is a pretty costly job when you consider everything, although it does look good. imo lower it a touch, sport grill, cup spoiler , and colour code...
looks nice and tidy, nott keen on the r mudgaurds tbh... but other than that its bang on. i would have a cack at colour coding the spoiler to would look alot better.. then a few of your mods listed would fionish it of nicely
lookin good mate, il have a catch up with you sometime when im not so busy.
did you see that link i posted on yoru fb ? werent any info but may be worth trying to contact him to get a few details etc
think hes from mansfield, seen one thats very well kept ( shiny lol) with grey wheels.. sure it was that plate.. goes up netherfields ... kinda explains it all tbh
thats what i have been looking to do.. remove the screen wash bottle and replace elsewere with a 1ltre universal jobbie of ebay then have it going into scuttle panel like the mk1 boys do.
if thats what you meant anyways ?
