Have a stealth shelf already so was thinking along the lines of...
as final maxim says the radio will work you just wont have RDS and any even stations will be unavailable to you. It goes up .2s but only uneven numbers!
If its a decent brand tho an add on dab tuner will work fine.
yeah views on x1 would do as i assume its the same nav software.
I have seen prices as low as £699 with minimal internet searching, (from proper shops) not ebay!! Figure going on tottenham court road could bring it down a touch more!

Some people have damaged items through only fitting springs, (not heard that myself on this forum tho) i know the majority of people on here just fit springs...
Hey all,

CDIB100 £49.99 on Low cost car audio! bargain! Uses the IP bus so will work with any P series head units and their A/V screens from the past few years I think.
Charges the ipod and...

search google for aftermarket cruise control there are a few options there.
Just had a look in my car drawer but cant find the catalogue I used to have. I found a company that would do it for £500, never went ahead! not for that money! Would love it tho!!
1979 VW Polo, yellow. Paint so think when i tried to t cut it to make it shine i hit bare metal!!
was awesome tho, nice interior, ended up with orange nightrider lights in the front grille, blue neons in the footwells, and two amplified bass tubes amplified up again running off a seat ibiza...
only three bits that I expect would be a challenge to fit yourself are the speed pulse, the aerial fitting and then managing to gt the feckin head unit back in the dashboard. After two days of frustration I gave up and paid a car audio place just to get it back in the dash! was a nightmare! too...
only problem with the slimline one is the flip up tray actually may take up more space than the old one cos of space having to be left for getting discs in
and yes get a slide out in dash screen, lots more money but well worth it.
pioneer or alpine are generally agreed to be the best
I changed the spacing put the first four characters together and spaced out the last one.
N8 ELU became N8EL U been done 5 times £30 each was not a happy bunny when one a**hole traffic warden gave me three tickets in three days. Didnt even give me chance to get it sorted!

Thanks everyone for your help...its not over yet! Thanks to the great directions above I got to the underside of the aerial and its dry as a bone, poured water onto and around the aerial and nothing came through, added to that for the first time we have noticed the front of the sunroof inside is...
hmm, thought originally it was coming from the sunroof but its coming out of the light and immobiliser sensor bit and the sunroof all feels bone dry all around it so think it muct be the aerial, will try popping out the light bit later on and take a look. Dont suppose you got a part number for...
Depends on age of car as to the price, for a car less than 7 years old, The AA is £99 or £199, The £99 is more than enough and includes a HPI check. Yes they do list every fault but as long as you sensible and remember you are buying a second hand car that aint gonna be perfect then you gonna be...
incarputer.co.uk or .com i think was one link. How about using a mac mini??!! nice and small already!! Main issue is the power supply for a pc I think!! or just use a laptop with the vga port going to a touchscreen like Dazs or from ebay!
or just put an xbox in.
would take most professionals longer than that, the ones i have used are a little slow but do take care in their work. if you have done it a few times, (like i unfortunately have) the dash can be on, stalk kit fitted and dash back on in 20 mins, if its your first time then ouch its gonna take...
