Just got home to find a nice scrape down the side of the car where the rear wing meets the bumper. Given it some T-cut which has taken alot of the scrape out but there are some large scratches and the the paint has been broken along the lip of the rear wheel arch. Also bent the connector to the...
There are a lot of driving heros on here!!!!!
I have it on and have only had it light up a few times (snow etc) so agree that it is not very intrusive (good thing). I'm all for a spirited drive etc but if you are finding it intrusive, maybe you are doing something stupid on a public road. I'm...
Re: I dont know what to do - 197 to 200 - advise from long term 197 owners would be g
I must be going mad as I am starting to like the look of the 200 :S. £9k is a lot of money to spend on a car that is only marginally better. Fact is that most drivers won't ever reach the limits of a 197 let...
Said hello to the Nimbus 197 as I passed. Said hello back but not sure if member here.
Also saw 2 LY 200s on M40 driving towards Oxford (away from London) tonight around 5.00pm
Fair enough, I am only rubbing salt into the wound :rasp:. I had a VW Bora for a few years until I bought my 197. Have 2 kids and the Bora was perfect for the job. Was a very relaxing, pleasant drive too.
Kids can get in the car on their own now.
aaaaah the baby excuse ;). You could have gone for a 197. Plenty of room for the baby and all the extra's. You can turn the airbag off and all the seats have isofix.
Bad news. From some long term reviews I have read, you need to make sure that the panel fit is perfect or it will be very costly to repair. If it is the other persons fault (100%) go through insurance.
Checking the oil in my engine and I notice some liquid where inlets meet the engine block. I hope I'm describing this right. If you look at the engine (I have a 197 btw) the inlet curves round from the top to join the front of the block. The is a small amount of liquid (which I thought was oil...
I think all cars are designed to pull a little to the left in this country so that if you fall asleep at the wheel the car will drive into the curb not the oncoming traffic. My 197 also pulls slightly to the left and I don't see this as a problem.
The non-cup 200 is softer than the non-cup 197 so I would be tempted to get the cup chassis. Passengers will hate it though.
I bought a non-cup 197 and find that the chassis is plenty good enough for all my driving needs. I'm 42 FTMFW so wife and kids spend some time in the car :dapprove:.
