bothered enough to post in the thread that you think it needs uprated internals though.
i think revs are known to kill and 1*2 unit as gdi showed with their r+d work which was pretty interesting to watch, always nice to see people trying things with the clio unit, could be the best bhp per £...
when cops pull someone over for speeding and just advise them about it and let them on their way instead of people saying "thats nice of him/her" they say "he/she mustnt have had enough evidence, they didnt think it would have stood up in court etc etc"
maybe it was a nice cop who stopped...
yeah the 182 comes with a 200cell cat as opposed to a more common 400cell the sports cats are quite expensive and are about 120cells, i would rather save the money and get a decat.
i have a yozza decat mated to a btb exhaust and im happy with the sound, also the yozza kit was very well made...
the normal 36k service is just the aux belt and tensioner normally mate (and usual oil etc) you dont need to do you cambelt for another few year yet have a look on gdi website i think they have their service prices on the website i imagine the specialist will all be around the same price.
i am looking at getting a sat nav system as i have used tomtom before thats prob what im looking at, the question i have is.
i wont use it very much maybe once every month or so but the main reason i want one is that i am going on a driving holiday to america next year so i am wondering will...
i'll be lucky if santa brings me brake fluid let alone that lovely set-up
looks like a nice bit of kit will it be easy (expensive?) to change discs with the 2 piece setup when they wear down.
the results from last month at awsome gti were a little unpredictable, we didnt get any wheel figures and we left with a lot of questions and bit confused about some of the figures.
as for getting a chip at waynes i did discuss it with him and to give him credit he said for the few hundred...
RR are a much better tool for evaluating mods when a run before and then after a bolt on mod or map and of course for live mapping, i goto these RR days with a group of friends and include breakfast, running the cars and then pub lunch so they make for an enjoyable day with some good banter.
i...
my 05 plate 182 has been on the rolling road 4 times in last few years and just thought would post them up for your info
with just a few thousand miles on the clock results as follows (std car)
at the wheel 160.81 bhp
at the fly 179.26 bhp
torque 149.87
happy with those for barely run in...
sorry i posted in wwrong mog thread.
my wife has dci clio and her computer shows 62mpg
my 182 shows 28ish
if your mpg has dropped consider lambda sensor
cheers for the info, we got it brand new its a 56 plate 65bhp campus sport, i removed mine from the 182 so i may fit that for her help reduce that diesel rattle when its cold.
thanks
just putting some screenwash in the missus car and noticed on her 56 plate clio dci that it doesnt have the sound deadening on the underside of the bonnet like my 182.
it has the metal lips and holes for the plastic lugs but no actual carpet, should it have one or did they come without for...
from downpipe to cat its just 2 spring bolts which you can reuse mate once you have cleaned up any rust etc, mine is an 05 plate and didnt need any cleaning up, and yeah the cat to centre section does need another clamp the original is a bit skinny and rubbish.
is this the same fot the 182 edde, i refitted the second lambda (after cat) when i added my decat last week.
any bebefits/gains from removing it and blanking it up?
yeah your right fly is calculated from the atw figure and coast down along with some other things i wont even pretend to understand it seems a lot of rolling road operators use differnt methods and corrections to end up with a fly figure, problem is as its the fly figure were sold the car on and...
am also going to be swapping my itg with a k+n filter not expecting much diff between the two but i like to try different parts myself and test them not just read the gains from the back of the box.
yeah i mentioned above the std reading was high in feb this year a lot of the other cars were a little high also, but i take them with a pinch of salt. i have fitted the decat and have another rr run at chipwizards next week for comparison.
paul - it was at awsome gti, irlam would have to...
update - the rr on sat didnt give the figures i was after.
Feb 2007 it ran 182 bhp and 160lb torque (std car)
Dec 2007 it ran 176 bhp and 149lb torque (itg filter, btb exhaust)
same rollers but i know its quite a few months apart im afraid they didnt give me at the wheel figures this year i...
correction to my last post, once its all nice and hot at motorway speeds 70-80 even using cruise control it is a little louder than i would like, thankfully the missus has a new clio diesel so any motorway journeys we use that, but worth considering. normal town driving de cats are ace, lot of...
i fitted a yozza decat to my btb system yesterday and im quite please, on idle its the same and its only really under load is it any louder.
not as loud as some systems i have ran with decats on previous cars im pleased and the yozza was a great fit.
