cheers i wanted a silenced de-cat but hard to find, quality of yozza looks very high.
i know RS run a 200 cell decat as std so im know im not going to get huge gains but every bit helps when working on a 2.0 n/a lump, no gains are easy just got to be realistic really with your expectations...
i have another rolling road planned for this saturday since my last run on the rollers (will be the third time the 182 has ran on these rollers) i have added samco induction pipe, itg panel filter and a btb cat back exhaust system.
basically i have a yozza decat (not currently fitted) but im...
i like to use the chammy for the bulk of the water and once most of water took off but not completely dry/streak free i then use the drying towel all down to personal pref really its just whats quick and works for me.
the rear brace i fitted to my car means we dont use it for shopping anymore and take the wifes car due to my compromised boot space. makes no diff to the car i agree but still best £30 i spent as means i saved a fortune in petrol using her car and my 182 hasn't picked up any parking dings from...
car will still run without a remap but mapping the car after the breathing mods will get the most out of them mate.
you will still some gains without the map but should get a few more with one.
dont gdi do some solid top mounts?
if you uprate them all at once that should make life a bit easier, as someone said changing one to an updarted could put extra stress on the other older std ones im just guessing though. i would expect more engine vibration with uprated mounts though, fitted...
i went and had a play on one last week at the local O2 store while the wife was shopping, i must admit i was expecting it to be all show and no go more gadget than actually useable but i was quite surprised seemed a decent bit of kit, a mate bought the new touch thing on monday and hes really...
sound = open filter (no real power gains sucks in hot air)
quite gains = itg
loud gains = maxogen
heard the maxogens on full chat and do sound very touring cars and very nice.
hello and welcome. i often feel old on here with a wife, house etc but glad to hear the RS clio range had fans throughout the age range.
welcome and enjoy the clio
they do repace the pollen filter on the 24k but they are less than £10 to buy, personally dont bother get the service done without it and change it yourself at a later date there is a guide on this site to do it its very easy just a few screws.
people used to buy these for saxo vts/106 gti and use the housing for heat shield and the induction pipes etc but replace the filter with a larger one.
just measure the internal space in the housing and the neck diameter and order one from green or something as big as will fit, i always...
a 1966 super snake that belonged to carol shelby himself has been sold for 2.8 million pound ($5.5million) recently with 800bhp.
most expensive way to end up in a hedge.
having ran de cats on past cars i do fancy one but the increase in noise puts me off, wish i could pick up a silenced decat for the clio.
im to old and with neighbours with small children to have a system to loud.
your in the same boat as me as soon as my 24k service done im uprating my front discs/pads i would say that below is better value though.
http://www.yozzasport.co.uk/store/proddetail.php?prod=rs_182_172_cup_trophy_ferodo_ds2500_fr_brake_pck
getting the same discs and ds2500 pads which are...
ben p - crikey that must have been rapid, mine went bang as well after a garage fitted a new cambelt over tight and it sheared the woodruff key on the bottom crank/pulley and went bang. i was sat in traffic at the time it took about 4 inlet and a few exhaust valves out with it.
when it went...
both front have been replaced but duw to puncture in one and a big pothole causing tire wall bulge on the other, they had loads tread left on them though and done about 13k at the time, rears done 21k and still look good.
yeah sorry blonde moment 1.3 in s1 and 1.6 in the s2 but both 8v always liked the look of the s2 in white with some white speedlines, when you say better in terms of cheap handling and thrills then yeah but as far as day to day performance and creature comforts (and safety) im glad i moved onto...
yeah like vw/bmw etc when you let go off the handle it goes back slowly. dont use them to be honest so hadnt really noticed a prob with them. do feel cheap though.
hi jay,
yeah put an itg panel filter in, really if your after a remap you would get better results with your filter and some kind of cat back exhaust. if you dont want to fit an exhaust (i went for a btb as it looks std and is fairly quiet) you will still get gains from a remap on a std...
in the wet its fine on the clio but sometimes in the dry pulling out of a junction quickly it cuts in and kills power just when you dont want it, safer to spin the wheels a bit and lift than have power killed.
if i know im about to pull onto a busy road i flick it off and if you have the odd...
the RS clios are the natural progression from cars like the 106 gti, when i was looking at a change nothing peugeot had interested me but the clio 182 fit the bill as as a suitable replacement, the 1*2's and the pug gtis have the same thinking behind them, both are slightly over engined hatches...
