just an info thread at this stage but streamline carbon are about to start the moulds for some 1*2 parts.
at the moment as follows are being done:
wing mirror covers
front splitter
fog light surrounds in front bumper
rear bumper insert
rear spoiler
side mouldings for doors and quarters
the...
i though it was to vent the oil vapour/pressure into the throttle body for lubrication of some decription? i know people say they unplug them as its warm air but i didnt think it would make much difference at the amounts of air were talking about.
i vented mine for a few weeks but decided to...
i would leave your tweaked map on, dont reset the ecu you will end up with less than you have now it wont be able to correct to the mods as well as the rs tuning map you already have, contact paul at rs tuning see what he says.
personally fit your new manifold and filter and leave the map...
i ran some drilled and grooved discs on past cars and no problems cracking but i think its a case of get what you pay for with them seen some real cheap looking jobs on e-bay that i wouldnt let within 100yards of my hubs.
hc get good write ups and ds2500 pads have a very good reputation.
im having my aux belt done soon but having the idler and tensioner changed as well, all in done for just less than 200 pound. its more often than not the idle thats at fault when aux belts let go and not the belt itself.
my mileage is only 25k but i think my aux belt is overtightened and...
hi rich,
best thing would be to do a search on here as there are hundreds of threads about 182 tuning but to answer your questions to get you strated.
1. a well mapped std ecu like from paul at rs tuning can make a differnce to how the cars drives, more midrange and an extra couple of bhp at...
done some digging and deaddog is spot on, i figured i have 10 years ncb so if i have a bump and lose a few years i will still have 5+ but they take it off the 5 years, i will be protecting my ncb.
nice missus, she didnt get you the 90 degree one though that looks like the proper 1*2 one.
they do a std 90 bend which is a it smaller without the breather, i have one in black also.
dont bother with sport cats the 182 alreaqdy has a 200 cell cat V the 172 which i think had 400 cell cats, you can buy a 120cell cat but really for the amount they cost v the gain i wouldnt bother with one imo and get a decat.
i have mine mated to a btb system and it sounds perfect, not too...
the old charged ones were a bit slower but the new turbo ones seem to be quite often churning out more bhp than factory figures, close and prob down to driver in the end.
somewhere dry, dont leave the handbrake on, some kind of trickle charger for the battery and im sure i heard when cars are beeing stood for a long time they move them a foot or so every now and then something to do with the weight being on the same bit of the tyres all the time.
i currently have 10 years no claims bonus (which i have paid to protect for the last 10 years), i am currently getting some quotes for my renewal is it worth protecting it (an extra £50)?
If i have a bump and have to make a claim how does it work, will i lose a few years of my ncb if so thats...
the 90 degree bends are smaller though so you cant use them with you original airbox by the looks of it meaning you would have to use an open IK and not sure if they sit a little close the the block for my personal opinion would need some good caf to prevent lower loss.
also never ever go back to that garage, its basically sucking in air from the engine bay without going through the air filter.
shoddy job from the garage really mate, if you like the noise just follow the pipe to the big platic air box at the front of the engine and there 2 pipes going into...
i think there is a north west meet towards end of feb near the trafford centre at krispy cremes donut shop, poss the 24th feb? have a look in the local meets section of the forum and there should be a thread in there.
welcome to the club, im from salford.
look nice and if you believe the marketing smooth airflow thus increasing bhp etc i have no knowledge of fluid dynamics or anything but i wouldnt expect them to actually make any difference to power i swtill bought one in black though to keep the under bonnet looking std just a bit nicer.
veryt nice i got one of tim in balck few months ago.
hows the green for noise? i ran one on my old 106gti and found it was quiet for an open induction kit. the wife had a pipercross foam filter on her corsa sport and that thing sounded like a hurricane under the bonnet. more than lively down...
as above loads of advice but basically as far as filters go 2 options.
1. original airbox with performance panel filter (itg,k+n) all pretty much the same really down to personal preff.
2. maxogen sealed induction replaces the entire clio induction piping with its own box and filter, it is about...
i have tried many filters and ended up with a k+n panel filter, i just like the old school cotten over the foam applications the k+n managed .better bhp than an itg (diff rr though so not an accurate test), cheaper than a maxogen although i appeciate the design and sound they make.
what work is needed to relocate the battery to the boot, a battery box from demon tweeks is about 40 quid, is it then just a case of running he wires along a sill to the boot and strapping it and securing it.
i assaume the biggest restiction with the air flow is the 90 degree bend which can...
with basic breathing mods an off the shelf chip (some call them group n) will do. unless you had cams etc a li8ve map isnt really worth the money.
group n = 250 quid
live map = 500ish
you wont get 220 to be honest you wont even get 200 if your lucky and got a nice healthy well looked after...
mild steel and the fit wasnt very good on them.
i used 2 a while back on my 106gti sounded ok but lasted about 18months each until started to rot etc and both needed quite a lot of messing about to fit and heating up of handers etc and bending them into place.
they are cheap though i didnt...
if you do a search for them on here quite a few threads people have mentioned that for some reason the renault opd wont give as muich info as it should so only half the features will work i was going to get one until i saw the thread.
on most other cars and american cars they would be quite...
i got a 3/4 plate at the weekend for £10 from a motorbike show, was a doddle to fit really took about 30 minutes only because my old plates were pop rivited (sp) on i like me std plate but 3/4 look. i think it actually makes the front of the car look a little wider.
