Zymol Carbon detail. It's grim up north...

I like the PSs with the colours and the grey + I've said it before - I like the way your car is unmolested! I hate detailing.

FAO anyone who's powder coated engine bits

I wouldn't be concerned, PCing is only usually at about 150 deg. It will be in the cooling (eg sling it in a bucket of cold water) were deformation could occur, if at all. Painting however is a good alternative suggestion.

Part number request for Wilwood caliper pads (PF97 or DS2500)

I had some very interesting info ref. the mintex pads passed onto me last week. The 1144s are designed for cars with aprox 5-600kg gross weight, aka kit cars and caterhams etc. According to mintex a more suitable pad compound would be a 1155 - 1166 - the later being a race pad really.

FAO anyone who's powder coated engine bits

Separate the parts (cover and oil breather plate). Mask off the internal / through to internal holes on both parts, all threads etc. Sack off the read gasket and reseal with a high grade silicon.

    Riggers' Mk2 Xr2 project...

Madness running without filters, it's not just large objects like stones etc that will cause damage; anything in the air above a certain size that won't pass through the engines fine tolerances between moving parts will cause damage.

"Wow, My Willy Works" Dave.'s TDF'd ITB & Cammed 182

Re: Dave.'s Trumpeted Engine Spec, Cammed Up Gunit, 2118'd Carbon Vagina Boob obsessi Kevin I think you'll find your rate of rise angle on the Jenvey kit is more than the AT Power kit, meaning that with very long runners the kit can sit above the standard rad - the AT power kit at a slacker...

    Ollie's Silver Cup - JMS RS2/Wilwood/2118

Re: Iceberg 172 Cup Project Not really, larger TBs are all well and good - but it's not as simple as wack a larger one on = more power as it relates to gas speeds. The smaller internal total volume & more efficient function of the manifold combined with proper calibration does produce a far...

    Ollie's Silver Cup - JMS RS2/Wilwood/2118

Re: Iceberg 172 Cup Project There would be no output advantage in moving across to cable throttle, and very little difference in response as the manifold does provide far improved throttle response over the stock intake tract.

A couple of RS Tuner questions..

That's one of the benefits of owning the kit yourself, you can add / remove / update features & maps yourself.

    Random popping

Upstream is heavily involved in the management of the engine / fueling etc. I'd check it's voltages/code see if it's kaput - and then replace.

I'd suggest a little flat head right up to the fitting edge; swapping from side to side as she comes.
