Re: NATIONAL CLIOSPORT MEET IDEAS?
Really I think we need a few possible venues drawn up (could even get each area to propose somewhere) and everyone given a chance to give their opinions, possibly by a poll on here. Also I would say that once some more details are know some stickys would have...
Don't know where you could get a blanking plug tbh, don't know if a motor factors will do them but any sort of screw the right size should do the trick. Personally I would just try and get my hands on an old lambda though if you can't get get a blanking plug.
Someone on here should know where...
As they said above about the blanking plug sam. Either that or just get an old lambda off someone here or at the scrappy and put that in there to block it off.
I guess I won't be after those coilovers anymore then ;)
Really glad to hear your sticking with it dave, as you said too much time and effort went into it to break it.
Cheers guys, I'll have a look at them. Anyone got any other suggestions?
Sam - I'm probably going to try and get some through my mate who works at halfords but if he can't get them cheap I'll try autoimage as I've heard they are pretty good.
I'm needing to give the hybrid some new shoes up front so just wanted a few suggestions as to what to go for. I really need something that is good in the wet tbh as at the moment the tyres I have are crap in the wet and give you absolutely no confidence.
So what would you suggest for good...
Lol, I have to agree that there isn't a specific limit for a front wheel drive car. The 230bhp figure has been said by so many people ever since JC mentioned on top gear that he though that was the limit for a front wheel drive car.
Thanks mate, much appreciated. I've not spoken to the guy myself but through a friend I've been told he can get them done for £300 and I've heard good things about the guys work.
Time wise how long would you say it should take someone to do what you were suggesting?
The car was actually...
FM-696 - What do you have to do in terms of prep work if the bodywork is dent free? I've been told of a local place who can do a respray for a good price if I were to do the prep work myself but tbh I don't know anything about that sort of thing and want to find out exactly what I would have to do.
I would say yes, particularly the 172 cup in what I personally see as a hot hatch. Imo there aren't many cars in production now that I would class as a hot hatch in what I would like to see as too many of them are too big/heavy and not as much fun as a more traditional hot hatch like a 205, mk1...
Welcome to the site. Not sure about any specialists for newer clios tbh but I'm sure someone will be able to help you.
Where in Edinburgh are you from?
PM replied to, and yeah it is getting lowered. The only question is whether I go for coilovers or not as I already have a very good setup with koni adjustables on the front and despite being normal height the handling is amazing.
As I say I reckon willy wheels look better at the moment but just fancy a chance. Would somebody be able to do my car with the white wheels lowered and also with the willy wheels lowered?
Cheers.
tbh I'm thinking the same after that photo, just fancy a bit of a change tbh and thought that with the white wheels and lowered it might look quite good.
Could anyone else have a go and lower it a bit as well? If you need a better pic of mine for it just let me know and I can try and get one.
Could someone please photoshop the wheel of this car:
onto mine and lower it about 35mm if possible:
I know they aren't great pics but if anyone was able to do it it would be much appreciated, as would some opinions!!
Thanks.
For the dials when warmed up my hybrid runs about 90 degrees (half way on the dial or just below - going a bit over that when going for a blast). Oil pressure should read pretty high from cold - can't remember exact value but about 4 bar on idle iirc and it will probably show no oil pressure on...
Personally I would go for a valver over an RSI but if you're doing that anyway you might as well go the whole hog and drop a williams engine in there if you can afford it as it should onyl be about £200-£300 more. From what I've read the volvo turbo option isn't really worth it, especially if...
Whats the point in even having a discusiion about whats best for power N/A or forced induction? Forced induction is always easier to make big power from and will pretty much always rule the roost for high powered cars.
Thats precisely why this topic was called whats the fastest NA clio...
I'm with them as well and I'm well pleased tbh - no complaint what so ever and by far the best value for money as mine is about £16 a month for flext 25 and unlimited web'n'walk.
