Yeah what Mr Pink said. Old versions can't do the popsn bangs map so you want one with firmware with a higher number than 1.85. And to have unburnt fuel combusting in your tail pipe (pops and bangs) you can't have a catalytic converter for obvious reasons so a stainless steel decat is the way to go.

Well I've now managed to do this and have created a full picture guide from removing the air bag, wheel, wiper indicator and audio stalks, removing the top and bottom casing around the steering column and removal of the squib. 60 views and no suggestions so am assuming the guide might help some...

Hi Mangled the ribbon wire in the squib while getting my wheel off and now have a new squib to fit. I can get the wheel and airbag off and all 4 of the 4 visible torx screws in the squib off, the screws holding the console on and the screw at the back of the squib which looks like it holds it...

Price difference is why I had the aircon delete kit from JMS yesterday, to reduce servicing costs in the future. Plus it removes 16kg of weight from the car, tension on the belt, rotating mass so you get a slightly more responsive car. Getting the ac delete is only marginally more expensive...
