Hi Gavin
Had the same issue but I just bought a new (second hand) window off ebay for £30 and fitted it myself. It really is a doddle to swap out a window. Door cards and trim come off fairly str8 forwardly and then you just hoover out the glass and slide the new pane down and slot it onto the...
Same if purchased second hand. I bought one off here and emailed Henk for advice on whether i needed to update the oem map before putting a stage 1 map on. He confirmed that when buying the unlock licence he will send the .rst oem map for free and also confirmed that as a paid up CS member you...
Following reading this yesterday I've just given Texaco Supreme with Techron a go (no shell garage by me to try v power). I've always filled up at Tesco up till now as it helps with the clubcard points and occasionally put the super unleaded in but can't say I'd noticed much difference
Anyway...
Got exact same thing on my 172. think I saw a post by an autoelectrician on here and the beeps on getting out are cos the ecu thinks the engine is still running. On getting into the car I think it must just need a second or so to work out you've turned the alarm off. French!
thats where you would buy one from on the site mate http://www.fastchip.nl/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&page=shop.product_details&flypage=shop.flypage&product_id=18&Itemid=26
Anyone got the windows driver for the old version of the rs timers before the install files came on the tuner? Need a copy so I can get my laptop to recognise the old tuner I just bought so I can get it working and buy an unlock license.
Any help much appreciated

Yeah what Mr Pink said. Old versions can't do the popsn bangs map so you want one with firmware with a higher number than 1.85. And to have unburnt fuel combusting in your tail pipe (pops and bangs) you can't have a catalytic converter for obvious reasons so a stainless steel decat is the way to go.
Hello!
Have been searching but can't find a thread I know I've seen, where a guy was having the same issue so suggestions on whats knackered much appreciated.
Xenon on the passenger side has gone all orangey and feeble and on turning on and off a few times goes greenish.
Does this indicate...
Cheers to the OP, bagged a pair of these off ebay and fitted this evening. So much better than the std clio jets (particularly as the right jet was only firing a single stream). :approve:
Get yourself down to JMS in Chertsey. Made the trip from Wales to get my Cam belt amongst other bits done and the service from James and Tom is faultless and you'll learn a bit about your car too. info@jmstuning.co.uk It'd be worth your while the £12 to become a member as the traders section is...
Not sure if this is a model dependant thing, but the point I was trying to make was that I had taken the 3 torx screws off from the casing under the steering wheel already but that it was stuck on the radio controls. Same as original poster
Have done it now following some advice found on...
Well I've now managed to do this and have created a full picture guide from removing the air bag, wheel, wiper indicator and audio stalks, removing the top and bottom casing around the steering column and removal of the squib. 60 views and no suggestions so am assuming the guide might help some...
I'm after exactly the same answer but I can't see these 2 torx screws under the stalk you're talking about (see pic), there's nowt there.
I have taken out the three torx screws I think you are refering too from the cowling/casing which is fine and the casing comes loose but it's still stuck on...
Next thing is how do I remove this. I've got the spare pictured and the broken one insitu. I've taken all the screws out I can find, and the two wiper stalks become loose and can be taken out of the assembly. The wheel is off and the airbag. But it doesn't want to budge. Is it a case of giving...
Ok got some photos now to explain what I mean. How to I get this stereo control off.
I read on here there should be mini torx screws at the base but there aren't. I've had the top steering column cowling off and can't see anything and I can't get the bottom cowling/shroud off becuase it gets...
Hi
Mangled the ribbon wire in the squib while getting my wheel off and now have a new squib to fit.
I can get the wheel and airbag off and all 4 of the 4 visible torx screws in the squib off, the screws holding the console on and the screw at the back of the squib which looks like it holds it...
Price difference is why I had the aircon delete kit from JMS yesterday, to reduce servicing costs in the future. Plus it removes 16kg of weight from the car, tension on the belt, rotating mass
so you get a slightly more responsive car. Getting the ac delete is only marginally more expensive...
Cheers Emma so srp, then extra gloss protection and then a wax (not sure the blue paste would be the one for a red car would it? there's a clear version i may look at although the AG HD comes with all the applicators and what not so will probably still go with that)
Cheers Kane sounds good...
Hi
Never washed my previous beasts with anything other than a car wash or bucket and sponge before but now I've got a decent car in the 172 flamer, have read a few threads on here and have decided to give a few products and this 2 bucket method a go.
On a budget at the moment as new belts...
The front blanking ring on the clock spring has snapped off and all the ribbon cable was visible. Would post a pic but i need to get the wheel back off. Have dug out a few threads where the same thing has happened to people and basically its a new part from renault for over a £100 or a second...
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270758790684&category=10410&_trksid=p5197.c0.m619 anyone know if this is the same squib as in a 51 plate 172. Item is listed as mk2 ph2 so unless Renault put a different one in the sports then it should be good (tried contacting the seller but...
Having searched around the bit thats broken is the squib. There seem to be quite a few on ebay so I think a new one is probably in order, although other than the lack of self canceling indicator it doesn't appear to be causing any grief.
Anyone ever replaced a squib? From previous posts Renault...
