I took the side strips off mine while I cleaned it the other day, apart from the mounting slots, it would look better without the side strips. It's not like they are placed to actually stop you from getting car park dints anyway. £2k to smooth them though is madness!
Awsome!
I went to an alternative energy center the other week and I was impressed by some stuff but in general everything looked a bit 'W. Heath Robinson' and knocked together, they had an electric car on display there and that looked crap.
Untill designers who know how to make...
Here's my RSi after about 3hrs of cleaning.
Reflection shot.
After I finished I fancied a walk on the beach with the gf so took a drive to Barmouth seeing as the weather was nice (just a little 2hr drive!).
The front of the car ended up pepperd in bugs again but it was worth it for...
Styling wise I've grown to really like the Clio III that black one looks great but they just seem like such a big car for a 1.2, I'm looking forward to seeing the new twingo with that engine.
The roads in wales always seem to be really good. I dont know if it is the scenery adding to the driving pleasure but i always find the general road surfaces to be smooth when I've driven there.
I'm awaiting the UDM when they release a UK 240v version. More power than a PC and less vibration (apparently) it is supposed to be comming out fairly soon, but I'll be interested to see the price.
I should really do what most people would do and learn to use a rotary, a 1/3 of the cost of a...
My garage is like a spider sanctuary, I could probably fill two henry's hoovering spiders and webs alone.
A few months back I noticed what I thought was blobs of white paint / tipex on my car and it turned out to be spider poo as they alined with the webs. I would love to get an opportunity...
I take my side strips off for waxing etc now, they come off in less than two minutes, substantially less time then it takes to mask them, polish around them or clean wax off them.
Halfrauds would do themselfs a world of favours offering some Menz, CG and PB products rather than the commercial type they currently offer.
I'd love to be able to just walk into a store and pick up a bottle of Jetseal, read the lable etc and make a proper selection rather than the removed...
You could, get insured on another car as a second driver with a company which still allows you to build / keep NCD and just pay the extra on that policy.
Although I wouldnt put it past insurers to worm their way out of giving you discount by expecting you to have the NCD built up on your own...
Yep they usually specify that the previous notification of NCD is no older than 2 years, some companies want to see proof of one year!
It is a bit of a farce, I think it should be raised to at least 3 years specifically for people like yourself, they'll start taking licences off us if we can't...
I figure if the plastic is textured then to repair the texture would be difficult, I have one carpark scrape on my bumper and have often wondered the same thing.
Is Engine and Machine basicly TFR (traffic film remover/ G101) the reason ask is I remember this stuff was very effective at cleaning tough deposits but I am not sure if it is acidic, it was however very cheap, somthing like a £1.50 for 4 litres!
Sounds like you had a great time!
I love visiting foreign countries and seeing all the different things including the cars.
I saw plenty of the older french models like the early renault 4's and Citreon 2cv's I also spotted a R5 Turbo II. I remember seeing twingos for the first time in...
I hope it all gets sorted quickly for you, I bet there was no damage to the lorry.
I had a similar thing at a junction with a bus once. I wanted to turn right out of a junction an the bus wanted to turn right into it but was waiting for traffic comming his way to go past before making the...
I use AG SRP on my Smeg style fridge and on variouse other bits and bobs around the house. I've used AG interior shampoo on household carpets before.
I just bought my first 2 microfibers the other day when I told my gf I treated myself to a microfiber she laughed but I can finally stop using...
I rekon you are right, it'll be the lower tax and the feel good issue of the lower emmisions to the environment which will draw the punters in coupled with the slight gain in performance provided by the turbo.
To make it popular with enthusiasts more potential for much more performance would...
That is a real mickey take but it happens more than you'd imagine.
At one place i worked the office zero or a trainee would get given any old customers car to do the buttie run, I have no idea how well they were driven while they were out.
Cars also get shunted around often while at some...
Usefull bit of kit, I was looking for a van a while back, is it quite steep at 4k though? Also it's so tidy I'd be more worried about carrying leaking bags of junk to the tip than I would be in my car!
I wonder how much more load space you get compaired to just folding your seats flat in the...
