I'm not keen on the black wheels but I'm sure another vee owner would consider a swap and at some point I'd buy a new steering wheel and play golf with that gearknob and get an origional. Apart from that I think it is good value. Cat C / D wouldn't bother me too much so long as it's been fixed...
This has to be one of the nicest 1.6 on here. It's good to see a car modified specifically for a reason other than looks (even though it looks good aswell), you seem to know how to drive it!
Thanks for uploading the videos. That slalom looks incredibly tight, I imagine there was a fair bit...
Quite common, when I worked at a classic car restoration garage they had a box of keys, you just took the box with you and tried till you found one that worked (usually on morris minors) but I would have thought technology had moved on a bit since then.
Don't have any illusions, the performance isnt shattering even though when testing a number of 1.6 16v's mine felt more brisk than some of the others, which is one reason why I bought it.
I get about 300 miles to £30 in a good week but if you push it, like any car, i'll use the fuel. All...
I recommend them, good cars.
I've had mine for about a year and a half. They are quite nippy, comfortable and not bad on fuel, if I was buying again though I would have gone for a 1.4 16v but save the difference in tax, fuel and insurance every year happily, for the difference in...
I think corsa's are cracking little cars. The old GSi was quite a desirable car when I was in my teens so I have fond memories of them, they go well and sound fantastic with just a decent induction kit.
I learnt to drive in a 1.2 which to be honest was a bit pants but they are quite solidly...
You can mock a template out of cardboard and use that to make up a heat shield surround out of aluminium to draw air from behind the light.
I don't normally like large wheels on small cars but those look great on the ph-quick and show off the silver paint nicely.
Yeah I think it looks good with the 15" alloys, sometimes big wheels on a small car look overkill.
I think the idea of practicing on another set of plastics is a good. I quite like your front lights, they look alright. I like them on white clio's aswell, the design is simpler and more 'euro'...
Seen it before but well worth another look.
I love the idea of buying an old house and finding some treasure!! I also always wonder whats inside these derelict looking buildings / garages.
No where near as impressive as the story above but there is an old guy a few doors down from me who...
I'm uncertain too, sometimes I think it'll look better sprayed other times I think I'd rather put the money towards something more usefull, cheaper if you do the work yourself I guess but then it depends what sort of finish you end up with, ahhh decisions....
I like your wheels, they are in...
Subway prob earns a fair amount so when he says they are not cheap, that speaks volumes about how much it's going to cost to run.
You've got a craking car, I wish I had a 172 at 20! Why not hang on for a few years when the insurance won't take you for a ride and put all those thousands you'll...
Would have liked the CD changer, apparently the 172 OZ F1's were an option on these cars, were yours factory / dealer fitted. I'd like some in anthracite, but I'm leaning toward going euro with mine.
Any plans for your's, I noticed you have colour coded, I am tempted to keep mine standard...
I've got the alloy bonnet and I'm sure my boot is alloy too, unfortunatly the head rests are'nt leather on mine they are just made from the same material as the seat base I guess that is one of the options the last owner didn't tick.
There was a guy on here a while back with full factory blue...
You're the guy who wants to do the retrim? I took my door trim off yesterday to tackle a small parking dint in the same area. You can strip the door but the metal inner skin will still be in your way there, you wont be able to see the dent from the back and will need to get your hands in between...
Flyyyys, fly parts.....
I hope you don't have a CAF, I bet if you take your airfilter out and give it a shake, it'll be like an insect collectors spreading board.
Thats nothing to be gutted about; McPherson struts and a nippy engine, the 205 Gti's are absolutly ace handling cars!
I remember the GTT being the car to have too around that time while I 'pov'ed about in a metro.
aaah another clioII RSi owner, hello :) not many of us about
Just checked, coming up to 83,000 miles. I actually thought I'd done more than that. It's one prev lady owner though, with a full service history and I treat it to a detail every month to keep it looking good.
I want a gtturbo i'm desperate to live out my teens again before I get too old to appreciate it, last year I tried for about 6 months to find one that wasnt either thrashed, modified badly and had both MOT and TAX. No luck at all. Then the minute I buy my current car they all start comming out...
Although I've taken the whole door card off the clio before I've never taken the door card to bits. You need a couple of torx bits, not sure on the size (if your Renault screwdriver is missing from the boot) about half a dozen screws hold the card on (bottom edge and in the door pull and handle...
I'd just give it a clean in the engine bay. A bit of AG machine cleaner or some 50% mixed TFR, agitate with a brush rinse gently polish the AC pipes and polish any paint work, ask Brand or Rich for better tips.
Strut braces are a bit of a waste on a clio as not only do you have to drill the...
I think it's a different type of valve, iirc there is a 1*2 turbo on here which has one fitted. there was a video where everytime he lifted off the gas pedal it made that fluttering sound, they sound better than the sneezing dumpvales imo.
Re: f**king pissed off to the max!!!
Damn shame about your car.
I think it's the dumb-ass 'pack' mentality of people when they commit mindless acts of vandalism like this, I doubt people would do it to random people unless they have an axe to grind or mates to 'impress'. And you're right...
You may see some noticeable gains from that but tbh in my books noticeable gains come in the form of forced induction, especially on a 4 cylinder.
Basicly cookie is right, for what you'd spend making the clio a bit quicker you could spend the difference (+ the value of your clio) buying...
