Gaz, it only took them about 40mins to do mine. If youre giving them the balls back then maybe they are gluing them back in...I lost mine so they had no choice, but to replace the whole unit....plus I always watch them, and they know it!! :)
The 172 is the first car Ive ever wanted to mod, and its coming along nicely:)
...but as you can see it runs in the family. this is a pic of my sisters last baby...shes now started on a new venture....

Yes Gaz, they take the bumper off, I stood and watched them!! the unit is fixed to the car under the bumper and has to be fed through the hole from behind.
This is another common problem!! It is Renaults fault!!
If your car is less than a year old, they will be replaced under warranty. If not, they are about £7 each plus fitting, they have to take off the bumper, not cheap for two bits of plastic!! And yes, its the whole unit.
lol!!! thats one way of sorting it!!!! ;)
Reminds me of the time I was test driving a very old Renault...cant remember what type, but it was old even in the 80s....anyway, I was driving along, when BANG!! something fell off just like you said....I stopped and picked up this massive bolt off...
Rich-D, Im glad some one else has a stiff 172 passenger seat!!! Renaults way of fixing the rattle? put them on as tight as poss?! Tell ya mate it will loosen with use...
Ray, Im a lass ;)
Get a proper service before you screw up your warranty, Renault not contacting you is a lame excuse, they didnt ring me either ;)
I dont know if its all in the mind but they always seem faster after a service!!
I found this on my car, the passenger side is very stiff but its getting easier with use, and the driver’s side is now very easy to move forward. Im quite happy that the passenger seat is a little hard to move coz at least it doesnt rattle like some people on here have had with their...
You could write to K&N and tell them you are disappointed with their product, theyll probably give you something to make up for it. Or as riplash said, sell it.

Dont worry, mine was from the North East, Im in the South West and so was the first owner!! It came from a company who has dealers all over the uk...so they register them all at the point of import. Ive seen other cars near me with the same pre-fix as mine.:)
Look on the bright side, its only a year and who knows, if you really were driving dangerously, then to learn your lesson, even the hard way, is better than killing your self....
A friend of mines husband was not so lucky, he accidentally killed his best mate by dangerous driving, along with...
Thanx, I was told about £400+ today, why do they always think that women wont check-up on the price?! He should have known not to bullsh*t when he saw the ClioSport sticker ;)
Just looking in the warranty handbook, the only things to do with the clutch that are not covered after one year are, clutch facings. As long as youve serviced it at Renault then there should be no problem.
