    who quoted you for the Magnex?? I saw a magnex in action today, it sounded fantastic :D. The bloke who had it recons you can get a little extra power, but its not very noticeable.

    Its no secret that Halfords get goods at trade price!! As do all other Lexus light sellers....at least at Halfords you can go in and have a good look at them before you buy.

    Warranty n exhaust + renault service

    Hello, The exhaust isnt covered after the first year, put on a stainless steel exhaust, people on here say Magnex or K-Tec are good for a 172, youll need a mortgage to pay for a Renault one. Youre correct about the service times...:) Viv

    Hi, good choice of car!! :) A lot of people have had that problem with the steering wheel, it can be sorted as mine has been. I dont know about the tools Ill have I look tomorrow in the day light. Enjoy the car!!!

    Ive driven 4 172s and a V6, they have all been fast!!! Tho I must add, that mine seems to improve with age...a bit like me ;)

    Yep warranty lasts 3 years 60,000miles, however many owners....bought mine with 7k on the clock, it was (and still is) unmarked coz the woman who had it before me was just as careful as I am with it.:) Check that the headlight washerballs havent fallen out, about £7 each, but the labour charge...

    4 Faults after only one hour!!!

    This can be sorted, basically, you get one kwick-fit fitter to sit in the car and hold the steering wheel straight while two others are at the wheels, then you get three more to stand around drooling and giving advice, do this twice......It worked for my 172..perfect straight steering :D

    Renault have followed the pack with this one......why???:sick: The 3 door looks a bit better than the 5, at least thats something....think Ill stick with mine for a while longer, then try and buy GirlRacers car off her in about five years or so when its clocked up 10000miles ;)

    If the alternator was faulty or badly fitted then yes, you have a good case to complain...make sure youve got some proof coz they may say it was the other garage who broke it.

    Yes, try another dealer, tell them that theyve been recomended to you coz they are good at getting things sorted (people like compliments, it will make them want to help you) and you came to them coz you need some one good ....then hit em with the list.......:)
