Knocking noise has gone......

.....but this appears to be because whatever it was that was knocking fell off the car at Santa Pod at the weekend. There was an almighty bang and something bounced along the underside of the car.

The car was already booked in for the 16th October, but they are going to take a quick look this afternoon to make sure it was nothing serious. Whatever it was it didnt hurt my 1/4 mile time though.

Reminds me of the time I was test driving a very old Renault...cant remember what type, but it was old even in the 80s....anyway, I was driving along, when BANG!! something fell off just like you said....I stopped and picked up this massive bolt off the road and handed it back with the car!!!

I couldnt stop to pick it up, I was too busy trying to keep up with the Prelude in the right lane.

At least they can put my mind at rest that there is nothing seriously wrong with my car.

there is something seriously wrong, you no longer have a rattle and youve not got an intermittant fault
