Mine's done this a couple of times mate. Both times it was the resistor pack.
The first time it was replaced by Renault under warranty.
The second time the dealer warranty had run out so I fixed it myself. The resistor is the same one used in various Renault cars - £30 from a scrappie.
Pretty...
My mate has a supercharged Phase 1 GTi-6. It made 256.3bhp when it was dyno'd after he installed the kit.
It goes like stink but now he's got 9 points on his license he can't afford to insure it.
Bearing in mind I don't have this lot anymore:
FBW throttle
Standard ECU
Standard FPR
Standard injectors
Standard fuel pump
Standard MAP sensor
etc etc etc
What actually limits the fuel once you lift off?
Going by what Adam says, there's always something wrong with your car :p
Every standard one I've seen with a decat doesn't pop and bang. Yours must be speshul?
When the car is mapped, if the ignition is retarded slightly on the overrun it will pop and bang. So in essence, with a remap any...
I know for certain that with the standard FBW and a decat they don't pop and bang.
After my decat is fitted on Monday, I've been reliably informed that mine could shoot flames out the back if wanted :o
I really like the look of that, it's only the splitter I'm not keen on. CF splitter (or one without holes in it) and that'd look spot on.
What level of window tintage have you got at the back?
You've got to bear in mind that they spend all day every day looking after out lot's cars. Looking after CS'ers cars is probably a full time business in itself. They probably haven't got round to updating the website yet due to time constraints.
The brochure was only finished and released just...
I absolutely nail my car day in day out. And yet I know two or three people who would buy it off me straight away given the chance.
Looking after a car goes a long way to making it an appealing buy regardless of how it's been driven.
Would you refuse to buy a high powered motorbike just because...
That's the thing I was trying to address you see. Most people just use a rough figure for all FWD / RWD / 4WD cars but that's always going to be less accurate than actually knowing the correct loss percentage.
OK. So what should it have been on a brand new 172?
I appreciate that my car isn't brand new and that the gearbox is going to be a bit worn. I just want to be able to compare what the RR says with what it "should" be. More so I can tell if the RR is being optimistic than anything else.
At the...
I've done a search but can't find the answer I'm looking for...
Can anyone tell me what the EXACT percentage of transmission loss on a 172 is?
My car will be RR'd again soon and I want to calculate the flywheel power from the ATW figure without relying on the "rough estimate" figure that's fed...
