as you ppl know, there is 3 diferent ecus for the valver.
S 101 261 102 - C575 - F7P 720
S 101 262 105 - C57D - F7P 722
S 101 262 102 - C57D - F7P 722
The F7P 720 doesnt have cat or lambda sensor (no 5º inj cold start either). My question is if anyone knows if this engines ecu (S 101 261 102...
ya... didnt have a camera when I asked at renault if the J7R turbo would fit a clio! eheh that shocked the guy giving me more attention on valver and willy spares.
GO TBs GO GO GO !!!
GO BEER!!!! who cares about oil?? :P
I use 5w50 Mobil 1 (on RT engine). Only change it when I must. Dont care about milage...
Oil wont give you more power... only lubrificates it and goes down on wear..
Only if you go to wild on lighting the flywheel!
noone can say how is going to performe unless someone has already on several stages lightened a RT flywheel till wreck.
Some engine tunners (from the earlier R8 Gordini and Arbarth days) would say that between 20%-30% you can light it without...
I rided a pug 205 1.9GTi with the MI16 engine... really FAST on the revs.. even idle is lumpy wild.
drag raced a std willy... 2ª gear and bye... I assumed 3 cars of distance on 400mts.
It has the GTi gearbox thou.
If PBV is to let more fuel in, I supose its the same has FSE (gives more constant fuel pressure on the rail. Dependes on the max pump delivery). no?
BenR is right.
You can only generate more power if you have a certain amount of fuel/air. The only time you need more fuel for more power is...
how much bhp now? std 140bhp since you got it fixed?
till now, no one has showed that spark pulgs gives more power.
Magnecore leads only gets rid off the electrical interference that could be made by the std (not so good on isolation) leads.
Ecu needs to get clear signal from the engine...
just in case, can you disconnect the suposed gauge one and see if the gauge goes dead?
Need to check this also and dont want to foul with the wrong one. :(
Ive tried almost everything about spark plugs...
bosh, ngk, champion, beru, brisk and a few more I cant remember.
the thing: use the specific ones for your engine. Keep them in good shape.
Spark Plugs wont give you more power!!! thats a fact!!! changing old ones for new ones will give a...
ehehe BenR... what about a clio TomCat lookalike? F14 model... at least the wings retreat for the supersonic speed. :) eheh
bodykits OWNZ the place!!! just love to see them on the highway... 200km/h and some of it just brakes and fly away.. eheh
opps, can those cars achive the 200km/h mark?? ;P
eheh missed that out... fuel pump doesnt flow a constant rate. :/
Im driving (alone oh yeah) my mates RS (fiesta not 172)... sorry to say but, a std willy doesnt pull like that little beast...
maciek, Ive downloaded those pdfs files... didnt have the time yet to read them. :(
The fuel pressure that the fuel pump can deliver is not the fuel pressure mesured on the rail...
the ultimate would be a new ECU like the M3D one, but homemade maping is not that simple... would say it is...
till know cant tell why the valver sins on torque and the willy doesnt. :( cams or just because of the bottom end? eheh still hitting my head on this one. :P
when using more than a inj per inlet I think you cant switch off the nearest inj... the 2º inj wich is somewhere in the trumpet just comes on only at full throttle and at high rpm (testing must be made to see the optimun high rpm).
Full throtle because the mix cant bounce off on the butterfly...
when fiting new spark plugs, usually I drive some km (like 10 or 20) with the new spark plugs and then re-tigh them.
Dont need to be hulk hoogan on this one... :)
well... there is a way..
take out the crank sensor. Get a ohmeter and read the electric resistence of the crank sensor. It should read something like 200ohms. If not, its broken/dead.
Dont know the price of the sensor... you can get it out using a nº11 tool. (damn english).
good luck.
well.. been looking at TBs...
custom manifold can be made by having the inlet valver gasket and the TBs (DCOE type) gasket.
taking BenRs opinion, jenvey 30mm TBs is (by the drawing) a DCOE type, so its easier for the manifold making...
uii not a pretty photo. :( maciek, youll get it fixed in no time. :)
nick, £1500 for the alpha gold kit is a LOT!!!! like the others, waiting for some replys about std injectors flow rate... at 3bars.
I belive that this can be done about 750quid. The trick is getting your own hands dirty. :)...
