Not a huge fan of these but that looks mint! Rear end is perfect - not so keen on the front end, and that number plate, or lack of it - legal? Will you not get pulled over everytime you go out?
Must be fast, enjoy!
I guess that's why he has a GTT as well.
Sounds a bit optomistic but impressive all the same. I'm managing 470 miles from my derv, when driven sensibly. Smaller tank than the Clio too.
It's not a race, mate. And driving slowly on NSL roads or roundabouts is not because the car can't cope, unlike ultra low cars that can't get over a small bump in the road with scraping or breaking something.
Also, speedbumps are meant to be taken slowly - just 'not' that slowly!
As much I hate speedbumps, I have decided to go passed a few twits with their gash cars struggling to ascent to the peak of a 50 odd mm concrete mound. One was a Skyline and he was not too happy but if your car is not fit for the road, get out the way!
And why is it funny to hold people up...
Agree. It's pisch, looks stupid most of the time (when ultra low) and is annoying when you get someone who can't get down some streets without going at 1 mph. The ridiculously low should actually be banned for cars using the public highway. Good rant!
Not sure you are correct about the wheels...
You are right, no ABS or aircon. All weight!
Not many other differences really apart from cosmetics. And that 10bhp is more like 4 but it's a lottery as to what bhp is found within the Clios. They tend not to make make their power! Should be a few...
Look no further then, a Clio should tick all the boxes! Get a 172 Cup if you're hard, regular 172 if you're soft. No point in a 182 unless you want a newer car.
As above, you can't go far wrong with these cars unless you are unlucky! Quick, cheap and fun - not sure about torquey though, compared to the other cars you mentioned!
Performance is spot on for what it's good at - B roads. Motorway - not so good, IMO. They are not uber fast but that's not...
At 2.15 - clearly a diesel! Great video!
Just on the 'blown' v 'N/A' chat - how long before we only see (new) turbo'd cars you reckon? These days, with heavier cars, emissions v performance = a win for turbo'd cars.
172nick(ed) - I give you a year with that attitude. No, you don't need to tinkle about but comparing or racing, as you clearly mean, is idiotic. Take it on the strip or do a track day.
That's how it is on all forums. Deal with it. It's down to how the person typing perceives their car - which results in a lot of love or hate. Read the title to this thread..."Clio 182 - best car I've ever owned!!!' He's not saying it's the best car ever made for everyone else. It's his...
That's the hope!
That's the issue with young 'uns insuring a Clio - they might think £1500 @ age 21 is good value but if something happens, they could be paying more than £2000 by the time the excess kicks in. Then the renewal jumps...
