Just been quoted £60+vat
Half price so booked it in.
Appently sometimes they can be a bit of a pig to put in,something to do with fixing the cable to the pedal can be a bit of a nightmare.
Got them to do it
could'nt be bothered to piss around changing oil.
I know what im like I would have left it until to MOT and then it would have been a mad rush to get it done.
Car being service today and asked them to check my clutch cable as it has the common sticky problem.
They have advised me that the cable needs replacing but they want to charge.
£17.86 +vat for the cable
£120+vat for 1 1/2 hours labour
Total £161.98 to fit a clutch cable:S
I am...
Car in for its service and Renault have just phone to say that the reversae switch is faulty.
They want £16.00 for the switch and another £40.00 to fit it (daylight robbery).
Surly it's easy to fit.
Anyone now how or shall I get them to do it.
Cheers guys
I Would never buy a mark 1
Far too many better cars out there for the money.
A mark 2 is a differant story,if I had the money I would buy one tomorrow.
Bought my CUP cos its the best performance car you can buy for the money.
Sorry I mentioned the word CUP but sorry mate they are a...
I think he's being a bit ambitious with the price.
I paid £6,700 for mine six months ago with 16k on the clock and I thought that was a bit much.
The guy had it up for £7,195.00 but a managed to beat him down due to the wheels needing a refurb & it had a few parking dents which are now...
Your on your third clutch:S
F**ck me you must cane it.
Although mines being looked at tomorrow as it has the common sticky problem
Hopefully just the cable needs replacing.
The guy I bought it off worked in the city so caught the train.
He also had a sports bike so the CUP spent most of the time in the garage.
I cover about 12 k a year which should keep the milage low.
Just wondering who owns the lowest milage 172CUP.
Bought mine in May with 16k on the clock on a 52 plate.
Now done almost 21k.
Any one got a lower one than that.
My mate had a V6 (MARK1) and sold it for an R32.
He seems to think the R32 IS quicker and just a better car all round.
I think if he had owned the mark 2 it would have been a differant story as I understand they are a far better car as far as performace and handling are concerned.
Bought my CUP in May 52 reg with 16k on the clock whihc was the lowest milage one I looked at.
WHO HAS THE LOWEST MILAGE 52 PLATE.
Mine now has 20k which must be a contenter.
I will see what the funds are like next Decemeber and decide then.
I may wait until the the 48k service.
Surly the milage is the main factor not the age.
My CUPS in for its 24k service tomorrow.
The car will be five years old next December with appox 36k on the clock.
Should I get the Cam belt done then or can I wait until 72k mark??
Anyone who bought a new f/f over a CUP must be mad due to price depreciation.
You might as well throw 2k down the drain.
The re-sale values are the same.
CUP RULES
Just rang my local stealer to find out what Grade of oil they use.
Great news:approve:
Told me that 5w 40 fully synthetic is always used on the RS models.
I did not suggest that this should be the grade used so hopefully this will be the oil they use.
