I dont think they do. Mine didnt. Ive had bother getting after market ones to fit - they seem to get stuck under the accelerator. Anyway, Im now going to stump up the £30 and get some standard clio ones - at least theyll fit properly.
Yes, mine is blue, but it wasnt me at homebase this week. There are 2 others which I see occasionally, both same shade of blue, one has a ktec exhaust. I work in town so Im visible most days in normal rush hour traffic.
Both of your clios sound cool - hope you get them back on the road soon...
No, I dont know them (Im too old for that sort of thing - 33), but I do like burgers! Thats why I got a Cup not a 172 - saves me dieting!
See what you mean about the RT; but then I would have mistaken it for a valver anyway because of the wings and bonnet bulge.
The read valver does, because Ive noticed the Kahns & low stance; sure Ive seen you around tescos/burger king once or twice. Not sure about the RT though - Ive seen a few williams blue ones around.
Afraid so Jim - got it garaged now, so should be OK. £2.40 you say? - Ill have to save up a bit more then!!
Has anyone else measured their ride height?
Ive got it too. At first it was just happening in first gear when pulling away hard, and I thought it was the wheels scrambling for grip; now, though, its in 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th, and happens whenever I go from a steady speed to a burst of acceleration. Feelss to me like its the mounts, and...
The suspension problem is to do with the top mounts for the shock absorbers - theyre weak or set at the wrong angle or something. Anyway the fix involves remounting and replacing your shockers. I had mine done back in June; unfortunately its starting to make the same noise again, so Im having it...
Cuppy - thats not MY cup - but by coincidence I havent got badges on my passenger side pillar either following a keying incident a few months back which necessitated a full side respray; still havent got round to paying renault £1.82 for the badges!
Anyway, Ive measured my height and its 63cm...
My Cup had the common front suspension fault fixed a couple of months back, and I think maybe its not as low at the front as it should be anymore. Im probably talking b****cks here, because the fix involved the mounts and new shocks, not the springs, so I dont see how ride height could be...
Suspension noise is a known problem and a few of us here have had it resolved under the warrnaty - its to do with the top mounts for the shocks not being strong enough I think. Anyway, go in to the dealer and ask about "cup suspension knocking noises - AKTIS update" - the AKTIS thing is renaults...
Cup-pa was obviously talking "real-world new UK prices"; either way Jonnyboy, your pricing method would put a cup close reach of £10,000, so the umph-per-pound trophy still goes to the cup....
Darren_hg - it was £293 inc vat from Demon Tweeks here in Wrexham. If you look at superchips website http://www.superchips.co.ukhttp://www.superchips.co.uk youll find that £293 is a standard charge for supplying and fitting at any approved installer. They also give a dyno pic which you should...
Cheers for the mention Edde, but my Ive never referred to 1/4 mile improvements - Ive never been quarter-miling!!
I do like my superchip remap, though - loads of torque. I posted about 4 weeks ago to say Id had it RRd in very hot temp of 91F, and it still gave 167bhp and 154lbft at the fly. My...
See this thread from a few weeks ago about my RR results from a superchip....http://forum.cliosport.net/display_topic_threads.asp?ForumID=6&TopicID=45225&SearchPagePosition=1&search=gary+brown&searchMode=allwords&searchIn=Author&forum=0&searchSort=dateDESC&ReturnPage=Search
Ive got a green panel filter. I posted some RR data on here about 10 days ago - I was moaning about the affect air temp has on performance because Id rrd in 91F!
Anyway, with standard filter got 163, and with green filter got 167. Someone pointed out that my original filter did have 9000...
Ive superchipped my cup, and I posted some data from a rolling road session on here about 10 days ago; it only made 167bhp, but the tests were done in 91 degrees F, ie rather hot.
I had two replies from peeps on that post suggesting that losses due to heat could be as much as 14bhp on a 172...
