Sounds like your having a bit of beef with your cyclones fyi, Early cyclones take tapered bolts and the later ones fitted to PBS and p3s use the flat faced bolts
6" wide wheels will look a tad small too, You can get the centre bore machined out if there is enough material to go at.
If they are aftermarket wheels mind, They will more than likely have spigot rings fitted which tap out.
Balljoint to wishbones 30nm
Wishbone to subframes 80nm
Pinch bolts 20nm
Arb to wishbones 20nm
Caliper bolts are 30nm iirc
Caliper to carrier just needs snug and a bit more ;)
A lot of bolts its a case of use your noggin as to how tight they need to be
Flux jsut quoted me not bad again this year,
Mods declared the renewal was £740 rung up and they can match admirals £550- £250 excess,
Brentacre will do £569 with other benefits on it + £80 for throttlies later this year, and im waiting on greenlight ringing back!
edit Greenlight will use...
what tyres have you got, 205s will scrub on the front and the rear depending what brand (my PE2s did), throughout summer i run 16" ET37 and dont suffer on 195/45 pzeros
Ive been driving about in the missus 1.2 Polo too, think its a 6v engine, hasnt had any attempt at getting stuck yet :) small engines are great, Sometimes been finding the 182 spins letting the clutch out gently and goes nowhere.... Polo doesnt lol
Dont dick about on the door with a hammer, you start trying to bend the door edge back over, its going to go in inbetween the handle and edge more so than it already has
Yeah full geom setup laser aligned, only place i found to do it because they have a sunken 4 poster locally (wont fit on a regular 4 post ramp) part of the setup is to do a test drive after to make sure its all ok, a run up the roads enough which is what they did.
Dont bother anymore, just do...
Supposed to do test drive before and after, only ended up my car nearly knocking my work colleague over who thought it was me, was interesting id have thought the r****d who worked on it'd have realised id worked up the road for 4 years previously
Probrably tack them on with a welder, shouldnt be loose though. Have you managed to stretch them removing them? I personally would only fit genuine disks on the rear, saves the hassle with pressing bearings in and swapping rings over
Id have thrown it in the hedge tbh after and say no more saved someone else from possibly having an accident, Id have hit it too sod swirving and possibly killing myself
There is a fair bit of flex in the rear beam, jack one side up from underneath near spring seat for example you'l see it give, ive often wondered why whiteline bolt one to the beam with exhaust clamps as they look, rather than replacing the original one with something thicker?
