The actual engine looks good but they spoil it with the cheap plastic pipe running across the front of the engine.
Same engine mounts, coolant tank, air filter, brake fluid bottle and various other bits as a standard MK3 clio spoil it aswell a bit.
Tim you could do that lot yourself in a weekend not even rushing.
Even if your not that good with the spanners you should be able to
1. Fit battery (10 minutes)
2. Fit front brake pads & discs (1 to 1.5hours)
3. Replace the ball joint (1 hour say to be safe)
Those times are way over what...

Give it a good clean up mate get rid of all the crap/gunge build up then lubricate it with a long lasting grease/copper grease etc - No WD40!
You can do it on normal height DCIs without jacking it up, but if you can't get the jack under it'll be tight getting the drain pan & sump tool in there without a mess.

Yeah its like "These corn flakes where made in a factory that also makes nuts" so if you keel over and die, Kelloggs can tell you to get bent and shove it

10 Metres not long enough, jesus do you work on the...
Common to leak where your first pictures show - below the plenum on the cam cover gasket, quite an expensive fix (cambelt) todo, and as its superficial most 172/182 owners don't bother getting it sorted.
Don't trust the digital oil level gauge aswell, make sure the cars on flat ground, and...
Theres a lad at work who goes 4X4ing, most of them put vegtable oil in theres, there all about 10 years old though. Theres an article on BioFuels in Land Rover International I was reading it today.

Good effort Martin, that garage looks the perfect size for working on cars too, none of this back against the wall legs under the car stuff.
Your brave if you've been under there with no axle stands, as said above get some if you can don't want that landing on your mate, he'll get blood on the...
Yes, thats the top of your fuel tank, pull that cover off and you can check the connection on the pump whilst your at it.
Worth getting it on a diag computer really.
Could be temp sensor - done a few of these on RS's, after about 2 minutes of cranking they eventually start, but run like a 3...
TomTom One, bloody brilliant, it does struggle though if your giving it the large one round roundabouts, takes a while to work out which exit your going up.
It takes 3/4 minutes to get a signal through the windscreen, even right next to the square bit
The top bit in the gearstick pops upwards you can just replace that bit.
My drivers window does that, after a few minutes it won't let you do it, IIRC.
