Yeah it can, and has happened. Most dealerships/garages don't know to change the alternater belt on 36k (due to the water pump) not just the 72k Service so they have a tendancy to go
Chances are as said above its more likely to be low loaded or towed away - don't have to fiddle about/noisey etc. Drag it on and thats it.
Can't he park it between cars or in someones garage as said above
Not too hard if your competant(SP), it involves removing the dash board to gain access to wiring behind the dash for the light etc. If you are buying a kit they come with instructions.
Yeah thats the thing thought Rich, they're shutting all the way, the bit that you pull - under the bonnet, is jamming forward for all it takes is a knock and the spring bit releases (as if you pulled the bonnet) and it flys up. The bit you have under the bonnet is there as an emergency thing...
It can happen, only if they re-programme the Injection Computer, which they are very unlikely todo without you sending the car there for a problem with the car, not say a service.
They just read the faults on a service aswell, and erase/correct them if need be.
Let them diagnose it if you can't find any issues with the loom/ecu yourself.
Don't get them to replace the ECU/looms they'll ram you in the ass bigtime
The looms that connect to the injection computer, as said above, suffer from the computer cover rubbing threw the wires, the block plugs going into the computer come filled with silicone from manufacture, this is too waterproff it but it makes a poor connection, and brings up the fault...
Permanently? If it has failed, as a quick fix the AA/RAC often twist it round, and just put the one bolt in so its permanently 'off' as it where.
They can coke up and get that covered in shite that they jam closed, remove it and give it a clean up with a wire brush or if your lucky a parts...
Cups not having the brake compensater valve connected on the back axle
Little things they can pick up, tyre wear uneven, chips in windscreen (if bigger than 10mm radius) within drivers view, headlamp alignment. MK2 Clios shouldn't be rusting already really
Yeah I understand all the work you've done, but why don't you top-up your coolant, clean the negative terminal up with a wire brush aswell would top it off.
Red looks neat but not keen - imo ofcourse
If its got leads coming from a coil pack its a 1.2. If hes got 4 pencil coils (ontop of spark plugs) its a 1.4.
What do his side badges say, if they say 16V its a 1.2, if they say 1.4 16v its a 1.4, obviously he could change these about though.
Engine no.s=
1.2 16v = D4F
1.4 16v = K4J...
Sounds like the tubes come off your sunroof drain, or its blocked with dirt, as it passes right where you describe. Have you had a sunroof replaced recently?
Pull the trim off around the centre, and drop the headlining and have a nosey.
