For basic repairs& servicing you want along the lines of...
A decent set of screwdrivers with a T20 included
A decent set of pliers, mole grips etc
A spanner set & a 11mm brake pipe spanner
A half good set of sockets with T20/T30/T40 (3/8" is best)
3/8"spark plug socket, size depending on...
Yeah I see your point Alan, as I said, I'm not saying the DCI is a rocketship, but for what it is, an 80 bhp diesel, it is quick.
65Bhp uses the JB3, 80 JC5, 100 JR5.
Theres no point talking BHP with Diesels, thats saying a 1.2 16V is just as quick as one. Top end isn't just BHP either, torque comes into it aswell. Don't forget 135 lb/sf is a lot of torque for small car, and to be brutal, its not that far behind 172 figures.
I forgot everyone on here knows...
On the clock that is, plus see Eddes video.
I almost cry when people think diesels are as slow as they are, just for refrence we share the same gearbox so I don't see a problem.
Sunroof drain tubes either come off the actual sunroof, or the pipes blocked and it leaks where the tube joins the sunroof.
Remove the trims and have a look around the headlining.
Yeah I reckon they're spot on, never been flashed either, crystal clear. The only ones I hate are the ones on the Disco3's, too high.
Having said that I was doing 120mph, one of those MASSIVE 300C things flew up behind me with them on, absoloutely shat myself, wouldn't of had that effect with...
A right is that you then Kev? Like the way you said coming OFF the roundabout hehe. Always give it the large one round them roundabouts and up leicester roads always a good laugh
I'll say hello next time I see you
Get someone to sit in the car whilst they operate all the lights, ie side, dipped main, indicator, reverse, number plate etc
By levels, check levels & top up if need be. Ie dip oil, fill washer bottle, check coolant, brake fluid levels.
Brad those clips can be a pain without special pliers (C-Clip pliers they are called) Looks like it can off the fuel filter from what you describe, and its near the back axle/fuel tank so makes sense.
Depending on if you can work that clip, get it off & put a jubilee clip on if you can find...
Silver RS with induction hole in front grill, a few times round Brownsover way
Silver PH1 - Lexus lights & black alloys, Work @ cineworld?
Black 182 heading out of Newton the other day 55 plate
Bushes etc in the heavier engines account for the weight etc and that, but its not that noticable say compared to a 1.4.
Ralph the K9ks are a heavy beast for 65 hp. The block itself isnt too bad but add pump, rails, injectors, egr theres loads of added weight, they've got uprated bushes to...
1.2s have different suspension, bushes etc and steering ratio to 1.4, 1.5, 1.6s.
I'm guessing yours isn't a dynamique either, as they don't have sport suspension - unless its a 1.4/1.5/1.6 etc
Bloody hell thats fairly impressive to be fair, would be worth that just to pust 182s to the side of the road
Yeah its the same box as the 197, and in 6th that does 70mph @ about 3800rpm!! Bloody useless. *edit- the 197 that is*
So basically your after a lower pressure jobby that can handle...
Brain that looks really well made actually, get what you pay for I suppose, should last a lifetime
Lol Mark, does the job though!
I had one out the Argos catalogue for about £15 with 2 stands that was ace just to pickup and throw in the boot and drive to a quick job.
Got a 3tonne one from...
90k isn't that much for a K9k edde but understandable what your saying about parts starting to wear out and injectors/pump like you say, not the cheapest. 1.4/1.6 owners should count themselves lucky they only have to payout £36 or for a coil!
I take it you want a change aswell as a bit bored...
Spiezels Rear shoes on all Clios are warranty upto 4 Years unlimited mileage!! A fair few have trouble with the shoe, the material actually comes off the rivets on the shoe, and wedges round, locking up the brakes.
Get Renault todo it for free
Rarararar
Doubtfull its an injector as it would start going "chuff chuff chuff" & it'd sound like the steam roller from thomas the tank. It would sound like air 'escaping' in the engine bay??
When you say black smoke is coming out of the engine, are you sure you don't mean the...
20 Minutes or so. Its located infront of the o/s/f wheel, behind the plastic arch liner. In a nutshell, ignition off, jack/stands o/s/f wheel, wheel off, arch liner off, undo bolts holding it to chassis (2 or 3, 10/13mm or T20/30) unclip block plug (can do it from top, or threw(sp) the arch)...
Not 100% sure, its french plastic, so I'd say its a sealed unit, & for the sake of £20-30 for a new'un doubt its worth it only for it to reoccur 2 weeks later, atleast a new one should last a few years
Edde, Fred or Mike will know though I don't think you can.
