New v6 is easily much much better than an Elise. In the cup blue as well .... ummmmmmmmmmm. Plus you can still stay part of the club .... lol.
Elise IMO is a bit girly except for the Exiege.
I dont have a valver but i run 16v phase 2 wheels on mine. Had them refurbed and they look pretty sweet. I am after some other wheels as well but want to keep them 15s and not sure which to get. Speedline do some nice wheels (comp 2 umm) but all the other makes look a bit stupid in 15s IMO.
I used to have a 306 hdi 2.0. My mate also used to have a clio 16v and there is no way I could even dream of beating him. Its more of a cruiser, with a nice relaxing drive nothing more. My 1400 is quicker.
yeah drove a corsa .... what a piece of poo!!!!. Saxos to many on the dam roads and as for the astra ummm not my cup of tea. The clio IMO is the best bet. looks better, good like engine 98bhp and comes fully loaded.
Mines droped 55mm on the front and a bit lower on the back running 15s on 45 pro tyres no rubbing what so ever even with 3 other people in the car. Still got the linings although I have moved the rear ones slightly. I wouldnt think about putting larger than 15s on mine purely for performance and...
Power wash the sub frame etc, use autoglymn engine cleaner, a bit of wax here and there and metal polish on my shiney bits, also autoglymn bumper care is good for hoses etc.

Could try a staight through de cat pipe should free up a couple of brake and increase throttle response. After that I guess cams and a modified head are next on the cards. Not cheap though.
Never use the gauge alway use the dipstick mate, trust me on this thats exactly waht my mate did on his clio 16v ended up running the big end bearings. The gauge is not realiable.
Youll probably need a new gasket as there metal ones now, as apposed to the old plastic/rubber ones. Also some use stretch bolts so watch out as they can snap .... as I found out .... lol.
The new ones got the same engine out of the Laguna 1.9 dci 120bhp not sure on torque but a fair bit, pluss a 6 speed box .... very nice. Chip that and your looking at 150bhp.
