The new ones got the same engine out of the Laguna 1.9 dci 120bhp not sure on torque but a fair bit, pluss a 6 speed box .... very nice. Chip that and your looking at 150bhp.

I used to have a 306 hdi and my mate had a clio 16v, I could beat him till about 20-30mph, after that he ate me for breakfast, theres no way one could even come close to keeping up .... believe me I tried. My 1400 although not standard is faster than the 306 hdi.

Exactly what I do. Can also ditch the jack then as well .... every little counts.

Umm not convinced, to big, heavy and boat like. Its fairly quick but more of a cruiser rather than a hot hatch. And as for giving the cup a run for its money I think not. O yeah nearly forgot, overpriced.

My pedal travel did increase but its not a massive amount and they work a treat now.

If your gona do that use the 1.6 16v same bore just a longer throw. So should be the same size.

I am sorry but theres now way your gona get another 25-35bhp just from an airfilter , exhaust and chip. Be lucky to see 90bhp.

Yeah best to get the tracking done though. I run the same size on mine and did notice a difference, but then agian like daz said it makes up for it in handeling. Do what ben said and get it chiped. Should give back the loast performance.

My old clio was the 1.2 energy type and I managed 105mph. With full exhaust and induction kit. Think the diet engine is slightly quicker.
