Just to let you all know the cars goin in to Fred next Saturday to have the powerflex ARB bushes fitted and also powerflex wishbone bushes (may as well do these as well)
Gonna check front end suspension too.
Excellent point. Some pikeys tried to nick my friends wheels and couldn't get the locking nut off so just left it running on one bolt. Didn't drive to well! Lol
Think I got the reg right, nice looking Trophy. Think you flashed me once in Nuneaton on Hinckley Road. Didnt have time to flash as I was messing about changing the CD haha.
I'd start with wheel balancing mate. Only £5 a wheel. I've found with Renault's there's no sure fire diagnostic for any problem. It's just a case of starting with the cheapest solution and working up! lol
You'll need to replace the whole unit then mate :-( Not cheap unfortunately!
Be careful of the ones on eBay, make sure they are genuine and have the same colour plastics inside, some are black, some are grey! You'll only need the headlight it's self, not the adjuster, starter pack, ballast, or...
This. Mine looked shite. Few hours work and they look like new!
The price from Renault would be for a new headlight. They don't come apart as far as I know.
I'm gonna get my ARB and wishbone bushes changed I think. My ARB bushes look Knackered so its the next step I guess.
Get powerflex rather than standard Renault.
Well worth it mate.
It's two bolts and about 10 torx screws. Then it just unclips either side and lifts off. Membership is well worth it. I've already saved more than enough on discounts etc.
Cool. The bulbs are really long so youll struggle. One slight slip and the bulbs Knackered. Bumper comes off in 2 minutes. Better safe than sorry. You'll see what I mean when your holding the bulb.
I had laser alignment done today as well as Fred did it by eye, I have to say it wasn't very far out!! lol
The main reason Fred changed my track rod ends and steering arms was because the tracking was out and it was all seized up (the car was pulling to the left 80% of the time). Whilst...
Yeah I did, maybe a local motor factor... but if they get the part from Renault your back to where you started and paying well over the odds! By the way, always replace Xenons in pairs otherwise you'll have two different colours!!
I have some 8000k bulbs sat at home but wouldn't be able to...
I'd go with what Sam has said. Unfortunately I don't think its going to be as simple as just putting on a bigger disc. May even need to go as far as swapping the hub as well??
That's the cheapest I can get (£968), I don't have a grand sitting around so I'll have to pay month meaning that it'll go up to about £1500 and £150 per month.
Stupidly to insure a brand new 2011 Volkswagen Polo GTi which is worth 10x more than my car (£23,000) it would only cost me £650 a...
Everyone should stop crashing their Clios! I have exactly this problem, first year with 0 NCD was about £700, then with 1 NCD it was £750, this year with 2 years NCD it's nearly £1k!!!
