i know it was ages ago, but i've only just got it back.
I was getting my engine rebuilt after spinning a conrod bearing and destroying the crank!
Its going back son to have the itbs, omex, cams all fine tuned
Don't buy them.......only buy branded stuff, HC disks are very good for the money, get decent pads. i got some grooved ones off ebay with greenstuff pads and they are the worst brakes i've ever known. the worn out standard stuff was better!
I'm getting either HC disks or max disks with mintex...
just wondering if it can be done.
what else am i going to spend my spare time on? lol
Just fancy having a go to sort it properly, then i might be able to help other owners with warning lights after tuning................
I know i can take the leds out but i'm just going to run with this theory:
The ecu is a computer running a program. the program knows something is not right and so tells the dash to put a light on. surely there must be a way to alter the program so that it doesn't put the light on on a fault...
i forgot to mention the 12.6:1 pistons, forged rods, gasflowed head and it's at GDI being tuned. lol
but i can't be asked in taking the god damn dash board out again, it a pain! and besides there isn't a lot left that hasn't been taken apart recently, lol

Hi ya, just finished my ITB and cams upgrade with an omex ecu. Because the standard ecu is hardly connected anymore i have the warning lights on on the dash. (limp mode and emmissions) Now i know these lights are on a databus from the ecu and the only way i can see of turning them off is by...
Not always! some clio's light will go out with this method, mine comes on occasionally with a sportcat fitted! some you can disconnect the lambda and that works, but mine didn't!
what the ecu 'looks' for is a difference between the 2 lambdas and also that the second one is in a 'safe zone' to...
you only need standard stuff on the back, and renault pads i've found are the best on the back, anything else don't get hot enough! as for the front get the best you can afford. when i had my valver i didn't need back brakes cos i had black diamond grooved and mintex on the front and if i braked...
Don't touch discs off ebay..............ive got some on my cup and they are poor to say the least. i'm a quarter through the pads and the discs are nearly worn out! they are cheap pattern standard discs that someone has got a cnc machine to them! they lock up worse than standard ones, fade...
Cv's tick on full lock if it's the outer cv.
both sides have 2.
have you checked the bottom ball joint? jack up car so wheel is inch or so off ground and get a crowbar or similar and lift the wheel up and at the same time look for play in the joint.
try that and let us know.

Hi there,
I'm in the process of fitting cams, bodies, omex etc, just wondering what do i do with the Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Canister Purge Valve?
I understand what it does, vent fuel tank fumes to the inlet under certain conditions, but what do i do with it running bodies? i don't think...
Yes the ball joint is inside the gaitor........however to replace it you need a special renault tool to hold the internals of the rack and if you were to twist the rack internals it will wreck £400 worth of steering rack. choice is yours, that's why i took mine to renault!!!
It's the connecting rod between the track rod end and the steering rack.
It's another known fault with clio's, cost me £80 i think to have new track rod end and this connecting bar done at renault.
If you jack up the car put on full lock so you have access to the suspect side, reach along...
