Car was looking mint as ever :D
im sure there was a chipsaway demo station at cribbs causeway in bristol and I showed the guy my bonnet. he said "no, sorry, we dont do bonnets"  i just stood there "errrrrrrrrrrrrrm...ok then" o_0 im hoping it was a different company!

has anyone got any pics of their car before and after using a touch up pen?? I was thinking about using one on my bonnet as there are bloody loads of chips in it! It gets worse every time i look at it :(
you can switch the alarm/immobiliser off using the keyhole in the glove compartment i think. There is also another keyhole in the engine bay (by the washer fluid bottle) come to think of it. assuming youve got the key for these you can turn them off.
Im having the same problem as you - a...
yeah thats at the downs as Tom has already confirmed :) best place in bristol i can think of to take photos - cant say ive spotted many other valvers about bristol :( none that i recognise from this forum at least
just about to pop down to halfords to buy a new rear registration plate as the current one looks a bit old and make the back look crap. What do i need to take with me? :) i would check the halfords website but it down for maintenance atm. Cheers
truly gutted for you mate :( was a minter from the looks of it. at least youre getting another one :D
i always have nightmares about my car (like the brakes failing - i wake up pressing the bottom of the bed with my foot - lol!). I imagine this will replace the no brakes fear! :(
i drove past you whilst you were waiting at some traffic lights and semi nodded as i didnt see you til the last second! Ive seen you around a few times aswell :) i always see you around gloucester road.
Zydered - was it you i spotted behind me the other day (possibly thursday) going away from frenchay campus, past filton avenue? I turned left onto gloucester road. It was a sweet v whosever it was - they shouldnt be allowed on the road though imo, theyre far too distracting in your rear view! :D ;)
true :oops:http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/images/smilies/tongue.gif
I would have thought it would just cut out or stay at constant revs if it wasnt connected, instead of saying "ok ill rev at 2000...NOW 4500!!!!...now 2000". its a bit weird that it fluctuates imo...
i just checked the plug going into the iscv again and it was slightly unclipped :) Its strange tho, as i pushed it in properly when it cut out just now, so it must have come loose again. I only replaced that clip a couple of months ago! :@ It seems to idle normally now though! Cheers!
haha! i can imagine its not pleasant!
i passed a police car just as it decided to jump to 4.5k rpm! Luckily they didnt come after me. The probably thought i was a right tit tho! lol
Thanks for the suggestion. I guessed thats what made the car cut out, as thats happened before. Didnt...
Well after just getting my clutch problem sorted (turned out to be the self adjusting mechanism on the clutch pedal) I was obviously pleased that id saved myself ~£400 on a clutch replacement!
So i went for a drive to burger king and on the way back it developed yet another f**king problem...

its sods f**king law isnt it - the guy who sold me the car claimed it had a new clutch, but its always been really stiff. plus the day after i bought the car, the bigends went...oh and that was a bank holiday :p
Just topped up the oil/water, pumped tyres up and drove to tescos and put some petrol in, then she decided she didnt want to engage any gears :@ I assume this is just a clutch problem and not a gearbox problem aswell?? I turned the car off and all the gears engage, which would suggest its just...
