haha yeh theres not much feedback with them initially, the steering seems to tighten up a bit the harder you them but still not as involved as i thought it would be since people rave about it so much
still doesn't put me off getting another Vtec though (S2000 :) ), it just doesn't work great...
Yeh i was disappointed to say the least when i drove one, there doesn't seem to be much of a middle ground for playing about with them, it's either take it easy and drive like Miss Daisy or go all out and foot to the floor constantly, if you do drive it normally they feel fairly average tbh
by any chance was this guy on pistonheads ? i got offered a black CTR with 81k and FHSH in a swap for my 182
i was actually looking for a CTR before my 182 but when i went and test drove one i wasn't as keen, their good cars but i didn't think it was anything special, i was expecting a bit...
theres a guy that does wheels refurbs (can't remember if it paited or powdercoated though) in Birmingham for £25 a wheel, thats the trade price but if you speak to him and say your from a car club and he might get more business from it then he should do it at that price (worked on 206info anyway)
perfect thats great cheers again mate !
yeh i was thinking about just keeping the fuse that's already on the alternator/starter cable (that way it's not different than normal apart from the fuse isn't right at the battery?)
i've done another diagram that i'll get loaded up soon
cheers gents that was the type of answer i was looking for, as admitted earlier my knowledge on electrics is extremely limited !
my reason for saying it could have been fairly pointless was due to the fact that the battery will only be running at anywhere near 680A when starting (but i...
cheers mate, i've just been speaking to one of the guys at my work (electrics side of things) and we've just been talking about how a 300/350A fuse would be fairly pointless as all you would be protecting the car from would be a power surge from the battery over the 680A and it's very unlikely...
managed to get most of it sorted now (not bothering with a fuse at the engine bay end) but the only thing i'm stuck on is what fuse to run at the battery end
anyone know if a 300A fuse would be adequate and do the job or would it blow due to the 680 cranking amp ?
I'm going to be relocating my battery to either the spare wheel well or under the passenger seat and i'm just trying to get my head round the correct wiring layout so i can get all the bits ordered
i'll also be fitting a cut off/kill switch for the battery on the dash but hopefully that won't...
Spotted a CS sticker in your back window as you parked up (i was sitting waiting on the other half to go for lunch). Was in the City Hotel car park at the back of the Seven Kings about 2pm.
Blue clio, lowered, looked good
was this the stud kit (below) that was shown in the ebay link before ? links dead now

haha good point mate, tbh as it will be a fair trek wherever i go from up here in Scotland (apart from Knockhill) i'll be looking at staying over so it's all good
good to get another opinion on it cheers mate, i'm of the same opinion as you tbh and haven't even considered them on a road car let alone a track car
was just wondering if anyone had any opinions to fight the case that they would be ok as i don't know a great deal about them
nah the only journeys will be to a track so i'm sure i'll be able to live with it, as you said what more can you expect from buckets ! they definitely look among the comfier fixed buckets out there
seats and harnesses look great mate
not good to hear haha, i'm lookin into getting these and will be doing a few long journeys in whatever i get (5hr +) :S
would you ??
never used spacers (hubcentric) before as i have never liked the idea of it but how safe actually is it especially on a track car where it's going to be put through its paces a bit more than usual ?
yeh i thought so aswell but just wanted to check with him just incase mate, yeh i know their 15's but just wanting the tyre size (195 or 205/45 or 50....)
i've seen a couple up for sale at different offsets (et43 and et38) so just wondering which
cheers mate, nah it looks as though theres a flat spot on the outer rim (buckled), see below
what offset are these aswell btw ? oh yeh and what tyre size ?
