99 clio so thats a clio 2 phase 1 isnt it?. think clio 2 phase 1 has the single airbag so 1 connector. its the phase 2 with the double volume bag which has two connectors.

the passenger side switch doesnt work if the drivers side is faulty or disconnected. clean up the connections and if that doesnt work change the drivers switch first.

easy to change but you need to fit a resistor across the airbag connectors or your light will come on.

some of the connectors might be there for automatics (renault use the same loom for both versions a lot of the time so your left with spare connectors). an automatic would have a gearlever locking solenoid,ilumination and a sports/snow button. defo not the diagnosis connectors as that is next to...

esp needs to control the throttle slightly and individually control the brakes. if your on the brakes the esp cant cut in.

find a qiuet roundabout and keep pushing it. once you start getting the car to slide a bit youll notice the light flash as it counteracts the skid. it doesnt work whilst your on the brakes though.

isnt there a small area of non reflective screen at the bottem in the middle. its there for french vehicles to scan the vehicle for road tolls etc but the uk cars still come with the same screen. all renault used to have this little clear rectangle shaped part. have a look to see if it has.

they are but maybe you could use a drivers switch on the passenger window,fit a drivers side relay instead of the original passenger side one and modify the wiring. ill look on the wiring diagrams but i forgot today

you should get a language cd and a map cd with the car/sat nav. the map cd should have been put in the cd drive at the pdi. you shouldnt need the language cd really as it should have been set to english on the pdi.

i see what your saying but seeing as renault are right down the table in customer service/vehicle surveys you would have thought they might look into it.
