been looking for one to... I saw them on a French Renault site, but I think you can get them from Renault Dealers, I intend to ask next time I have to visit...dont like to go there if I dont have to ;)
I don’t get any hassles from my local dealer either, just seems that Ren UK keep on moving the goal posts…every time I sort one problem out, they find another one..oh hum..:( Still love my car tho :)
I think the extra warrenty was added from 2002 onwards...
"Or If anyone can let me have a copy of theirs, no names mentioned to Ren.........just a thought" ;) (hint!)
service stamp eh?...maybe I could try that, as its only got another 2000k to go before service is due.
Or If anyone can let me have a copy of theirs, no names mentioned to Ren.........just a thought

Good cars... but prefer my 172 any day... hubby had one but got rid coz of all the gay/hairdresser comments lol!!
I can see how it could do 140...was playing with a WRX today, overtaking, being overtaken etc...it was a shock when I looked at the clock and was doing 130 easy, only thought we were going 80/90ish!!!!
Good job he didnt try to hard, or he would have left me standing LOL!!!!
Where did you see this 172??? My local dealer had one with exactly the same probs...deep scratches and stone chips...had done about 30000k and was about 10+grand. They had it for ages but its gone now...maybe moved to a different dealer??
Ha!! Ha! lol!!
kinda reminds me of the time I went to pick up a large amount of floor tiles in my standard xr2i....I put the back seats flat and spread the tiles over the seats and the boot....
The car was ssssoooo low (poor thing!) but handled amazingly well on the 80 mile trip home....but...
I have finnaly had conformation that my car was registered in March 02 as on the V5 and not as Dec 01 as Renault UK tried to tell me AT LAST thanks Motorland for sorting that!!!!
So off go my documents and a copy of the same letter that Scudetto sent....just have to wait now......
Ive just seen a 172mk 2 silver with cup wheels, lowered, clear repeaters, private reg and polished to within an inch of its life in Safeways car park..
So I thought Id sit in my car and wait for the owner say hi and tell them about the club...
Out came, an old couple with their grand kids...
Reminds me of the time a nova boy was tailgating me in heavy traffic....just opened my window and chiped his car with a bag of Mcdonalds fries.....would have thought hed have been happier than he was, having his car chiped for free!!!!!!!!! LOL :devilish:
I like xr2s and xr2is, having had 8 of them:D and I do rate them as a hot hatch, the mark2 esspecialy.....lots of fond memories..;)

Van drivers are not all as considerate as you Spiceboy.
There are those who do pull out in front of me, at the last minute when they see Im a woman in a fastish car (if Im not in my 172 then Im in my hubbys MGZS)
Why???? Im hardly a boy racer or a kid... and I dont want to sit behind a van...
mine seems to be a little sharper now at just over 10,000k than when I got it at 7,000k....or it could just be down to the fact that I am happier to rev higher, now that Ive got used to what it can do :devilish: !!!!!
