I think it was the amount of lacquer and time I spent flatting it back before hitting it with my DA.
If you saw how dusty my workshop is youd be surprised how none of it got in th finish
I'm spraying my cup spoiler but I'm a bit worried that as I'm flatting the orange peel of a less than perfect coat of lacquer I might rub through. Can I give it another coat the flat back again or is that not advisable
I'm currently drying my footwells out, rather than remove the front seats I've just propped the rear carpet up having dried up as much with towels then left a dehumidifier running 24/7
I've not compared it in daylight yet but I think it will be a bit darker what with 17 years of fading on my car. Anything will look better than it being black gold.
Well I've done it, its come out a little orange peely so I'll leave it 24hrs then cautiously wet sand it with p2000 and hope I've got enough depth of lacquer to get a flat finish
Everything appears to be working but I've found these cut wires under the dash, wrapped bundle of cable under the ashtray and a spare plug below the cc panel.
Could it all be from an aftermarket radio?
Got our Tiguan reversed into last night which has pushed the one parking sensor in and smashed the bumper a bit.
