    So hit a bit of cast metal that was specifically designed to take a blunt impact and resist such impacts then in doing so risk breaking the lower inlet plenum/plastic fuel rail or worse (and slightly extreme), rip the M6 grade 8.8 studs out of the head? Yeah, I wouldn't do that.

    Check the alternator control live hasn't snapped but most likely a new alternator needed. When you change it be sure to fit a new aux belt kit to... do it!

    Sounds like a siezed tensioner has collapsed or the alternator mount has snapped. Do not drive it or even start it until it has been rectified

    You can't. Red flashing light is key not authorised to start the vehicle. Chances are it is going nowhere and a new key is required.

    l had exactly the same thing with a Scenic earlier today which sent me mental looking for the AC212 command to allow me to fill the HP pump... it's only the low pressure 1.5 so it doesn't have it but I was going stir crazy trying to find it.     I know I only suggested to you before in a previous 'touch' on this issue but I still think it relevant... has the Bosch ABS/ESP module been replaced yet as I am pretty certain that your issue of blowing the main fuse is due to an internal module fault which is causing it to draw way too much...
