So the shortest lead connects up to 4 on the coil pack and plugs into 1st spark plug hole ? so number 3 on coil then go to the 2nd hole ? Number 2 on coil pack go to the 3rd spark plug hole ? and number 1 on coil should be longest lead and go to the furthest right towards passenger side ...

Yeah engine has been out Afew years . im not running air con any more so that may cover Afew but wondering if my tdc sensor has gone bad again. i fitted a new tdc sensor and loom which seemed to cure it but I'm sure before I removed engine I was getting the starting issue again

I don't know these cars very well and it was 2 years ago when I removed the engine ! Hard work when you know nothink about these cars

Doh ! Will find the bolts for them in my box . Was unsure if them holes were for fixing a bracket for loom or summit . Hopefully its it's just that

The engine has been out the car for quite some time ! Engine is back in now but failing to get it to start . it's been of the road 2 years !

The car won't fire up still ! ive got a square with a zig zag on dash now but I've noticed engine oil is leaking out the side !

Will it still run with anythink connected on top photo ? ive found the hose that connects to carbon canister

It's a snap on one buddy . I've borrowed it from a mate and I reckon it's probably £2000 - £3000 lol :-/

No it's turning over but not firing up

Found it tucked behind firewall

My car is stripped out so no ash tray or centre console cant see an obd connector anywhere

I can't believe there was no fuse there . Must have come out at some point ! i can't find my diagnostic port. my car is stripped out and can't find 16 pin connector . is it actually attached to centre console as that went to the scrap yonks ago but can't find a plug with 16 pins by gearstick !

just found that where the 10a fuse is now there wasn't anythink in that slot ! Its now turning over ! Lets see if it will fire up !

Checked fuses passenger side and had alook at relays in engine bay will have another check and check fuses there also again . I see lots of people have had issues and I guess mine being of the road for 2 years doesn't help . Really struggling as my skills are limited !

Yeah I've tried to clean both sides as best I can on all earth points . its not even trying to attempt to start The flashing red light changes to a solid red when you turn the ignition and the stop and serv lights also remain on but it's not even try in to turn over .

Will try this in a minute once I've put the strap back on buddy ! its doing my head in ! still haven't got to enjoy this car yet !

Does the earth strap look knackered ? ive just removed it from the gearbox

The red alarm light is solid and stop and service lights remain on when put the key to ignition. tried locking and unlocking also ! Looks like alarm immobiliser issue ?
