off every time. after you have tried it you will go out and forget to turn it off,, get to the first tight corner and wonder where the power has gone. on the other hand it does teach you some throttle control.

yup, third gear syncro. it's always the first to go. personally i'd bite the bullet and have it rebuilt, at least you are sure it is 100% then. i've just had a box built with the internals cryo treated, should be on the car in a couple of months or so, hopefully it will be good for a fair...

i would want an inspection on any second hand box to be honest. what is the problem, syncros? if you do rebuild your box speak to fred, i think he can get hold of steel selectors which are much stronger.

the thing is if you are buying a second hand box, you should really have it opened and inspected anyway. most of the cost involved in a box change will be the labour unless you are doing it yourself. i would probably suggest rebuilding your own box unless it is really shagged, what mileage...

when i was using the car on the road 6k was a good result!!

they will probably be able to supply other springs, any motorsport place should be able to get springs too.

i'd imagine they run standard 2.25 inch springs, so you should be able to get whatever you want. do you have any idea of the rates?

i've always liked the ultraleggras. paint them amphasite and they will be perfect!

i tend to use ebay. there are some massive bargains on part worn competition rubber to be had on there!

pf 97's are worth a look too, i don't know how bad they are for dust though..

there will always be people who come to a conclusion without checking facts first. personally, i'd imagine they would make the type of customers who k-tec would not be too upset to not take on.

i always thought that two part discs were better at dissipating heat too?

they are will be the same i'd imagine, i had them treated at a place called frozen solid. i've not actually tried them yet.. but i'll trust daniels opinion :approve:

the kit came from ben p, but that is all i know about it apart from the discs and bells have been frozen in liquid nitrogeon.

weitec are made by kw, so i'd expect the kw's to be the slightly higher quality range.
