Seriously, how many expect massive gains from a back box??? Think about it - the engine produces power (AT THE ENGINE) and dispatches it to the wheels with exhaust gases fired out the back (TO GET RID OF THEM) So tell me, changing the back box, which has nothing to do with an engines power -...

Dont - cancel it now, seriously, u wont be able to drive it in this weather coz its got no ABS ! However Im sure ur decision to buy one was more informed and intelligent than that? Well done - its nice to be driving about in one of the quickest cars in this niche market! ;)

Mines gettin faster all the time!! Dont notice the cam change at 4500-5000rpm as much though, but I tend to see a little green light all the time and ignore it! The sound of the engine is lovely without all that sound deadening - no need for an exhaust or induction kit - they wouldnt benefit...

140.2 and still not hitting limiter - had to engage the parachute coz I couldnt stop due to lack of ABS !;)

212-215BHP and still only 0-60 in 6.6secs - tsh - come on, ditch the supercharger and normally aspirate the engine BMW!!!!! or sstart with a decent 2.0litre!!! Looks like me cup has nothuing to worry about then Works Sssss!! still 2 enths of the pace!

Not possible! U can make urself believe it though if u close ur eyes and follow the yellow brick road!!. If Mk2 0-60 times are getting into 6.7 secs territory Im really looking forward to my cup times hitting 6.1/2 ish then!;) But the Mk2 is defo quicker than the cup being heavier and all that! :D

Raced a TT 225BHP in the cup - he wernt going nowhere! Lancer in a nother league - its 0-100 u ask about for those beasts not 0-60!

teady172 ...if the Mk2 has been tested to 6.6 then my theory holds - the Cup is obviously quicker than the 172 as standard out of the factory so that means then the cup will be hitting quicker times than the Mk2? Yes? - its common sense man - whatever the standard 172 does the cup does it...

Anyone made one yet - Prima/K-Tec? How much - really only want the quarter panels !

The super1600 is actually a restricted 2 lite engine! CCC mag done a report on it in November with the Cup road test and an article on how to make the RSport Spider better! Want that kit for the my 1600!

I had a change to buy a left hand drive gun metal grey coloured one - it was the 1.6 turbo! Lovely motor - classic look on a par with the MK2 Golf - timeless!
