    nar i wouldnt even charge a penny, renault wont give them out and most dealers dont have diagrams only them special "techs" have them, who gave me them then edde? what would renault do to me? plug me into a clip and erase my memory?

    182 Service - Answers Please

    its only the BELT not the alternator itself, the belt is £12 its the labour as its an arse of a job on a 172. the pad change is a rip off its a 20 min job with pads @ £20ish

    same pump different pully as the 172/182 use a 6 groove v belt the others a 3 groove belt

    Yeah 1.4's are cheaper more room , quicker to do , 172's are an arse no one likes doing them thats why some people end up with a crap job, a comitted mechanic with a good rep will do a good job and not moan

    get a compression test if you need to drive it change the oil and water plus some block sealer (cheaper than a gasket change) if you have forced water was in the cylinder and you turned the engine over it wouldnt have gone into the sump
