I guess Im a toff then, Evo subscription nall! I dont agree with you so I guess your theory is right! How the hell can ragging your car up a 1/4 mile strip tell you about the true performance of your car? What about cornering speed, grip and top end speed, to name a few!

Geoff R u sure its leaking oil. I had an oil change done at a local garage, the t**t didnt take the floorpan off before he changed the filter. The oil then gathered in pools in the floorpan, it dripped out very slowly onto the drive, we had to take the floorpan off and clean it. GRRR!

I dont think u can really judge the performance difference on a car thats done so few miles! Theres a demo cup coming into Sighthill in Edinburgh, if anyone(GR, BenH) want to go run it in for me!

Ben, You mentioned in another thread that the Renault/Peugeot V6 engine was very easily tuned. My bro is going to buying the Laguna V6 from me, where do you suggest he could start? I know for a fact that the exhaust is very restrictive, so that would be first, anything else? Cheers!

GR, tell me about it I live in Dunfermline and from my house I can see the whole of Edinburgh. Dunfermline was dull, wet and windy, Edinburgh was bathed in sunshine, its just not fair!!!

By a an old car, i.e Ive just bought an old Civic 1.6 130 BHP, for around £500. Run it for a year, bobs yer uncle, you saved a wedge and you can afford to buy a one of the preffered cars you mentioned! Oops, just noticed you have a VTR.....Id still prefer the Civic TBH!

Sorry guys Im pulling a bit of a wongy here! I think my dad is going to get an S3 for his next company car, I will have access to it whenever I want, Ill probably be driving it more than the 172! So I should be in a position to let you know what I think. We wen to see a new S3 this weekend...
