Alright... just for you...
If you want to have a look pop down tomorrow. I've got to change the oil (as per Shaun's instructions), fit my new silver seat belts and adjust how the exhaust sits a little bit. Plus you need to collect your shocks out of my boot.
Oh... toying with the idea of...
Quite possibly. They've had it for the last 3 weeks so it would have been there when you went.
I love it already and it's not even running at full boost yet. Well pleased with it so far.
I suspect everyone will want a spin soon lol. Won't be doing any passenger rides until it's mapped properly and I've got used to the clutch (it's harsh!)
My favourite thing about it so far is the wastegate chatter. I wanted a dump valve before (ghey I know) but in all honesty I prefer the noise...
Went to K-Tec today to get my car back.
Only took one pic so far but thought I'd share it with you, and add further pics to the thread tomorrow when I've done a few bits and bobs with it.
Here's the only one I've got at the minute:
At the moment it's running a safe map to bed the engine...
Try turning the sidelights on and off a couple of times quickly while the engine is stopped. You should hear a beep. This is to inform you that the auto headlights have been turned off or on.
Then drive somewhere dark (if it's daytime) and see if it's fixed. If it's night time they should just...
Only way to be sure if it's the bulb is to swap it with the one you know works. If the light comes on it's the ballast on the other headlight that's screwed. If it doesn't, it's the bulb that's blown.
Stage 2 turbo conversion. No idea how many BHP it'll be making though. K-Tec advertise it as 300bhp but doubt it'll make that much. I'd love to be proven wrong though :D
It kinda works differently IIRC.
How I understand what happens is this:
The PC is set up and booted for the first time, then it asks to activate Windows. Msoobe.exe runs which takes the serial number you've entered and a hash generated by performing a hardware scan of the computer and submits...
Mine felt quite unsteady at speed or while braking after I fitted my Sportlines.
My tyres were quite low so I got some Pirelli P Zero Nero's and made sure they're at the recommended pressures (33psi front, 30psi rear). Then I went and had the tracking set up properly. Car feels great now...
You could set up internet connection sharing on your mate's laptop then effectively use that as your gateway. The proxy server at the Uni will see all requests coming from the laptop that has got a working account and you shouldn't have any problems browsing t'internet.
And if you were really...
Simon Maddox's iPhone app used to be crap when I first installed it but just lately it seems to come back with an 01 / 02 number for pretty much every 08 number I want to call. Only downside is I sometimes end up getting through to the wrong department at whatever company I'm ringing.
A colleague of mine has had a Touch HD for a couple of months now but ever since I've had my 3GS 32GB he's been harping on about how much better the iPhone is. He actually thinks it's so much better than the HD that he's saving up to buy a SIM free one.
Know another guy with a Hero, and although...
The one I've got on my 172 sounds brilliant. Obviously yours is for a 197 though, so will no doubt sound different.
I'd suggest getting one and if you don't like it, sell it someone else. Won't lose much then.
Not sure on uTorrent, but on Vuze there's an option to require encrypted connections. If you set the minimum level to RC4 it gets around the port throttling with some ISP's. Another good idea is to configure your uTorrent client to use a different range of ports (and your router if you have one...
