Ok cheers. The PH1 has a a silver centre console which is layered with the same stuff that they use on the door pulls. With the door pulls I had to go back to the plastic as they had melted but the centre console is in pretty good condition so I didn't really want to do that if I could get away...
Ive decided that I want my gearknob and the silver part of the centre console to match my door pulls which are in Iceberg Silver.
As the console has that rubbery/plastic coat on it and its in fairly good nick I was just going to etch into it with a medium grade sand paper instead of...
I had to replace my drivers side boot clip the other day as it had come off. I'm not sure how long it had been off but there was still grease in the joint. How can I check that its not damaged?
Its the one that k-tec sell but I got it for a very reasonable price 2nd hand because a new owner of a 172 couldn't insure the car with it on. Ive got a stainless system and it increased noise a little bit.
Its on the left hand side of the engine and you need to look for fraying and cracks in the rubber but it will be very hard to tell if its likely to snap or not. I would be more worried about the cambelt if its 5 years old TBH.
Does your cousin have the proper Renault locking tools for the...
Theres the top engine mount, then top and bottom gearbox mounts and the dogbone mount underneath.
I know K-Tec have done some improved mounts but i'm not sure how people are finding them.
Topgear was comparing the RS to a Ford GT a few months ago because its easier to drive fast along a mountain road. This is exactly the same sort of test. A car in a lower segment ie the clio has been comparred against a more powerful car because it can out handle it in certain situations. I...
Some of the cars in this thread are using way too much oil IMO. A little is acceptable but anything more than a couple of hundred ml every 1000miles would worry me.
First thing to do is to check for leaks properly and not by just looking at the ground where you park your car. You need to get...
Mikalor clamps are very very good and well worth the money over u-clamps. If you get the front onto axel stands then access to the manifold bolts is not too bad, but you can't get the car too far in the air as you need somebody to reach inside the engine bay to get a socket onto the other side...
Mine uses a little but not allot. I think 1 litre every 1000miles is within Renault tollerences but I would be concerned if my car suddenly started using that much.
It should come on everytime you start the car and when it shows if you press the button on the end of the wiper stalk it shows you the oil level. The oil ok is there to tell you your oil level is fine. However i'm not sure what it shows when you do not have enough oil.
