Have just amped my direct Renault replacement pioneers and they sound allot better than before. I know what people hear and what they think sound good is very subjective. However do I need to set any High of Low pass filters up when amping components even though I do not have a sub-woofer...
A Lambda sensor controls the fuel air ratio and when they start to fail the car runs a default setting which is quite rich (more fuel per unit of air) hence ecconomy decreases.
Top mounts reduce play in the suspension to tighten up the steering and improve the feedback given to the driver. Well worth the money IMO as ive just done mine and there is a noticable difference.
A strut brace joins the two trurrets together and reduces chassis twist when cornering although...
I took mine out as it was tatty. Also removed the soundproofing behind the engine and replaced it with a small heatsheild. Tidys the engine bay up nicely
I understand that bigger panels need to be blended and we always did blend new paintwork in when I was there. What I was trying to say (quite badly) is that even without blending the car would be a close match but I do agree that it would never be a perfect match and I for one would notice this...
It's really not that hard if you have colour cards and the car it needs matching too. But like most people on here you just can't believe that somebody can actually learn to do something in a short space of time. I had more than just a shot of doing it seing as my uni summer holiday was 5...
Why? If a sprayer can't match the colour of your car then they are not doing there job properly. I worked as a sprayer over a summer whilst at university and its not exactly hard to match a colour providing you have had the sense to get the customer to leave there so the new parts can be blended...
I went to B&Q to get my washers and o-rings. I used a poly washer for between the top mount and the strut and then used a rubber washer and oring on the top.
What is the o-ring actually for as I do not see the point of it being on there?
