Yeah, I've been having a good old read, however can't find anything on the specifics I'm after unfortunately.
I have a light weight battery yeah. I barely use the car, probably 1-2 times a month. Only had a problem with it when the car was untouched for 2.5 months. I do have a cut off switch...
My rear cage was £100 for the plates to be welded in and fitted.
If you're interested, give them a call, sure you could get it done whilst you wait if you booked a slot. I did it on the side thanks to Kelv, who knows the guy. So that's why it took a few days, which worked better for me...
Any confident welder should be able to do it I'd say. Only picky bit is getting the measurements and positioning correct.
Just had mine done. But the place that did it was down in Redhill so a bit far from you.
Cheers mate. 50mmsq is a huge cable lol!!!
300 amp fuse seems a lot also... I was looking at 140amp fuse boxes :S maybe that's way too low then.. Hence ideally needing to know how many amps are needed to start the car and how many amps would be classed as a surge lol.
Sorry to hear about your issues. Shocked at what I've been reading about this 'specialist'
Really good to see all the forum love, some good guys out there. Hopefully you'll get back on track soon enough.
Onwards and upwards aye.
Morning all.
I've been reading into and looking at different battery cables. I've been told that for the length I want (to relocate my battery behind the passenger seat) I need 10.1mm cable (25mm sq core) which is capable of 170 amps.
At the minute I've got an 8mm cable which I'm assuming has...
Clio driver pulls out right in front of this guy. Which unfortunately costs him his life. Admittedly the biker was probably going too fast though which doesn't help.
Think bike people.
R.I.P
All my lights were on anyway so it's a bit of a mess lol. Don't know what is causing what to light up now.
So basically I would like as many of them turned off as possible. I know there will be the engine management light and electrical light on still though because of the ITBs.
I'll message...
What problems might these false readings cause? I had to move it out the way whilst I had some new seat mounts welded in. So it's still loose in the passenger foot well at the minute.
It's a track car which has been gutted but this and the air bag ecu is one of the last few things I need to...
I think that's what it's called? The unit which normally sits under the handbrake cover?? I'm sure that what I saw you call it mate @Dan@SJM
Can it be removed or moved else where, say up into the dash without any problems? Or will it cause a problem with dash lights?
Also,
Does anyone know of...
You could well be fine with the cat in. Assuming there are no blows and the silencers aren't falling apart lol. As said, I've been around this level on many occasions.
If you're not sure best to ask the venue before hand and get a test done in advanced if possible.
Worst case make sure the...
Do you have a standard cat?
88 will be tight.
I've recorded around there on a few occasions. With a resonated system and with a cat in obviously.
Mine is around 92db now with a decat.
Is it a freak engine? Have you had it on a dyno to get an idea of the power? Or is the suspension just set up extremely well.
Fastest Clio on the day I read? Is that in the same class or over all? Either way that's awesome.
