Looking to pick up a couple CCS pads as I begin my journey into machine polishing, but am a bit baffled by the range of pads available:
Yellow - cutting
Orange - light cutting
White - polishing
Black - finishing
Blue - finessing
I'm thinking Orange and Black will cover most eventualities...?
That really depends on what you're using your car for - they've been absolutely fine on the few blasts I've managed this weekend.
If you tracking your car then, fair enough, but as a daily drive and some spirited driving they are fine.
I quite like it to wash with but it can sometimes feel like it's not doing anything as it has very little suds. Put some in a bucket and then fill with a hsoe with a decent 'power' attachment and she'll bubble up nicely.
It is a bit of an AG weak spot, though.
Re: someph-ing different...........
Cracking, all ready for some sweet negative camber on the rears... that'll stop the rubbing ;)
Fronts look perfect width.
Thanks for more nice comments guys :)
The mount is just what Prospeed did mate, I've not looked too closely but they look like small tubes of hard rubber / plastic, zip-tied in place to prevent the mount sagging.
Re: someph-ing different...........
FLOL, you're just as bad as all the *****s on here you love to hate so much.
f**king 9" fronts - loving the illegal-ness of these sticking their fat asses out past the arches.
205/40's would tramline a bit more than 195's and the 40 profile is going to be pretty thin which will make the ride a bit firmer. Not enough to be a concern though mate - might be worth checking the pressures aren't too high or low.
I didn't mate, the Cups come without aircon. Well, some later models had Climate Control as an option for the fairies. More of the 'rep' banter! Lol.
Not sure what the Apex lower it... I'd say around 40-50mm? They tend to settle quite a bit in the weeks after fitting.
PMSL, when the truck goes past and blasts the air horn *wobble wobble*
I ain't putting pics up here for you vultures to swoon over... too many members with perfect surgery enhanced, genius, millionaire girlfriends, who swallow.
Cheers guys, the car definitely revs better and is much smoother lower in the revs. I have to admit I've not really had a chance to properly give her some since it was fitted so can't really comment on top end.
Danny - that's how Prospeed are doing it now but I agree, does look a lot better...
Absolutely mate, it just takes away that annoying arch gap which doesn't match the shape of the tyre and improves things no end. The pictures don't really show it as much as it looks in 'real life' now - an obvious improvement.
Cheers mate, awaiting pics of your new derv cruiser! Will you...
Cheers chaps, looking at the before and after now it doesn't seem much different! It's certainly more difficult to get out of my parents' drive without scraping now!
Yeah Nath, I do recall you saying you were going the same time. I wondered off into Cardiff staight after dropping the car off...
Apologies for the rubbish pics, same camera as always but didn't bother with tripod or any of the settings.
Got my freshly fitted Apex springs on her last week as well as my Prospeed system with decat, so thought I may as well throw some piccies up. The springs are obviously still to settle a...
Lol, she's been driving my 172's and Golf GTi since she passed her test. First car she drove after passing her test was my old Ph1... her lack of concentration still scares the shat out of me!
What did you have done mate? I had an operation on my wrist about 5 years back and still 'didn't'...
Re: iPhone Q&A DONT START ONE QUESTION IPHONE THREADS. **POST HERE**
Aye, sorted, cheers.
No idea why it wasn't authorised sooner, the store was already set up with my password and I've been using it for a couple weeks!
The missus has gone to Wales for the week, and taken my car with her...:(
She returns tomorrow though, missus too unfortunately. Ahem.
Odd how much you can miss something so much that you find countless faults with on a daily basis.
