I'm sure you'll enjoy it once it's fixed. Mine served me well with 5 years of hassle free driving! I found it ok on the motorways but as mentioned, another gear would have been nice for cruising.

A friend of mine has a 230 and it's a stunning car but the engine (for me) is just pointless. The amount of £'s it costs him on fuel (avg 19mpg) and oil is pretty rediculous for the performance. I'm sure they are fun to rev the nuts off but four adults in the car and the performance disappears...

Do it! The VTS is great fun and the performance will be a nice step up! Just make sure you are completely happy with it first.

My friends always enjoyed a blast in the 172 but they find the diesel more impressive! The turbo cars always feel quicker I guess, especially as a passenger.
