It goes off your mpg afaik, so if you're getting 40, you have roughly 40miles left at current driving style. when the light comes on there is roughly a gallon (4.4l) remaining. do the test as the light comes on (pull over) and see what's left. On a flat obviously ;)
There is no red light as far as I know. Might be why you ran out.lol
If you do the dash test while the car is off (hold down the trip button, then turn the key to ignition point), while it's doing it, press the trip button and it tells you how much fuel you have left in L.
It isn't as easy as that mate. It will need recalibrating with clip as when you turn the squib, the SPS also moves, so it will register the steering angle as off, and the TC/Service lights will illuminate as soon as the wheel is turned.
good price mate. Would it not be cheaper for you to sort out a pallet delivery for it? It's only about £50 ish usually? Presumably you got another 172 engine?
If you drop it from about a foot will it catch? Sounds like your mechanism is knackered. Try greasing the spring/latch area. Do you know if yours was recalled?
Skinting yourself for an ec1 mate ;)
Personally having cams, I'd go for bodies. Love my 421s, but i got them cheap. The change to cable throttle will make a noticeable difference in terms of feel too.
Gutted lads :( it was terminal then. It sounds like when my dephaser went, but it must be bottom end with that much oil coming out surely. It still pulled brilliantly even when it thought it was a smoke machine ;) I have a few spares lying around if you need any
Yeah, it was a proud moment
It won't be affected by stone chips really. It's latex like, so they will just bounce off. I did make a dent in it when moving it around, but that was before it set fully. It's pretty tough to be honest
